    Thanks for the video! My Father was stationed at Green Cove Springs Mothball Fleet in 1948. I've been there a few times. You have a few old pictures I haven't seen before. I went there once to try and duplicate the old photo angles with my drone, but I was told that the "abandoned" airfield there was still in use.

    I was Stationed here in1952 and 53 sand blasting these ships as a 2nd class seaman US navy

    I believe you are incorrect when you state that this external tank was once attached to space shuttle Discovery during a launch. My understanding from people in the know is that this was a prototype external tank and was never intended to be flown. It's still an interesting piece of NASA history. It is still there in Green Cove Springs (2020) and is showing some significant decline in its appearance.
