      Always release the bigger ones. The littler schoolies are better eating if you want to keep.

      Thanks. And I always release the big ones. If I want to keep, I always take the schoolie sized ones.

    You finding them on the graph ,or looking for structure and points?What do I look for to start throwing top water ?The delta is massive and can be overwhelming

    • @corefishing1
      @corefishing1  7 месяцев назад +1

      I’m looking for shallow water next to deep water. Stay subscribed and keep posted. I’ll be making a how to locate striper or what to look for video during the fall striper run.

    Hey Joe! Great video but tell the nubbie why did you did a upgrade on your hooks. What is the pro for upgrades and con for it. Keep on teach the youngs one and see you there!!!

    • @corefishing1
      @corefishing1  7 месяцев назад

      No problem. I upgrade the hooks and split rings because the stripers can easily bend out stock hardware on lures. The pro is you get a much better/stronger hook and split ring. The con is if you over upgrade your hook size and splitring you can affect the action of your lure.

    Can the 6 inch pencil popper also be used on the smaller land locked stripers. Most of our fish are 17 to 22” long

    • @corefishing1
      @corefishing1  7 месяцев назад

      Definitely can be used. If you feel as if the lure is too big you can try the 4.5” size.

    What area would you recommend for striper in Aug-September

    • @corefishing1
      @corefishing1  5 месяцев назад

      If you were fishing the delta I’d stick to the west and north delta. Areas like riovista, Sherman island, big break, liberty island,broad slough, and montezuma slough.

    Do you offer guide trips? Me and my step-dad cant figure out the stripers man been going to the delta for a few years throwing tons of jerk baits and swimbaits we hardly catch them we just want to catch and release most of the time. Would be willing to pay you to teach us and give us some tips on the water for more success. Tired of getting skunked lol

    • @corefishing1
      @corefishing1  7 месяцев назад +1

      I do not offer guide trips sorry. I will say, keep an eye out on the channel. I’ll be making videos about how to locate stripers are what to look for.

      Yes and no. The bulk of the spring run is over, but there’s definitely striper that are still in the system. People just don’t talk about it.

      @@BillaBong1 right now, stripers are on fire in San Francisco Bay. Recently, almost every charter boat has taken limits of stripers for everybody on board!
