I think this is really smart that they've used mostly hoist mold for this, I wish they'll release the blue one as well
As good as this looks I canceled my order and decided to sell all my Diaclone MPs. Times are tough and I wanna just concentrate on certain companies and certain characters.
I dig the fact that they created a Decepticon character from a diaclone repaint and the shield is a nice accessory. However, the gaps on the side and wonky door holding the shoulder thing makes it an easy pass for me for now. If it goes on sale I might get it. Excellent review
Thanks for watching
If it's meant to be a Diaclone homage, it really should come with a driver minifig. The yellow looks a long way off the original Diaclone colour - more acid lemon than sunflower.
I wish it was fully painted, but not bad. In skipped the hoist completely so picked this up. Also, another official MP with stickers instead of some pad printing. Thanks for the look Sony.
Thanks Lowell
For a repaint it's really an interesting melding of hoist and trailbreaker. The cool blasters and force shield really add something to it. I also enjoy the lore of having an armed to the teeth Devepticon medic. The head feels like an old 1950s robot head but given the uniqueness of the rest of the figure, it kind of works. I think the biggest retraction for me in the figure are the Ronald McDonald like colors. I think black accents would have played that down for me but I know they wanted it to look as much like the old diaclone model as possible. Great review of an interesting figure.
Ronald McDonald, I could have used that 😂
18:23 Damn. I wish Takara’s Trailbreaker came with that force field. Very cool. Missed opportunity.
Interesting misuse of the word "retraction" …
@carnmarth334 just a mistake. Detraction was the word I mean to type. I also mispelled Decepticon as Devepticon.🤫
Love the look of this figure. The accessory is Awsome. Great Review ✨️😀
Since I went with MMC and x-transbots for trailbreaker and hoist I can't wait to get this figure . I usually hate yellow but think this guy looks kinda cool
Thanks for checking this out
You bet
Thanks Dr Diekast! Great review!
Thanks Ricky
He's riding around in the Decepticon medic because he was kidnapped and his bones will be harvested to produce energon.
😂
I have this figure. It's very cool, no regrets getting it, but I wish the hip joints were tighter, same for hoist. Also, I would have liked for more of the yellow plastic to be painted. Parts of it can almost look translucent.
That sounds like cheap plastic. Not much excuse for that when the thing costs £130 …
That’s a decepticon? Wow, that’s news to me. Ehhh… don’t know about that, but ok… hmmm. I have the ocular max kinda version like this that turns into a rally vehicle looks sick with an autobot logo.
6:45 I was good up to this point but all of the intricate and new designs, have thrown me off and I couldn’t follow from this point forward. This thing is frustrating. I’m still working at it. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching
Rig r us, is cool. A figure right up my ally but as with most of TT MP recently, too much sacrifice for not Perfection. Last TT MP for me was MP39.
Soooooo this Bumblehoistbreaker lookin' mofo is a Decepticon Medic, eh...so basically TFP Knockout *BEFORE* TFP Knockout. Huh. Neat. 😎😎😎
Funny how we've known pretty much everything about this guy EXCEPT FOR the glaring fact of his being a Decepticon. Takara seems to have trolled us there...like "Yeah, we'll show y'all what it is in the works, but y'all ain't finding out who he reppin' until y'all got him in hand!!" Well, that and that his name is a goofy wordplay on the word "rigorous". 😅😅😅
The included faction symbol stickers really should've had'em in black or in silver - the standard purple just doesn't look right on the yellow. (It's barely passable on the primarily puke green or safety orange Constructicons of G1 or G2, it's definitely not good here!) It's cool, though - we need more Diaclone troops in our ranks. (I think the only ones before this guy were Detritus and Magnificus, from Micro Change, like most of the Decepticons)
Takara, we need a G1 toy Trailbreaker already!! (And you're right, fully chromed out would've been SICK!!)
it's odd, i don't know if it's just the camera but with the blue windows it looks almost green instead of yellow.
It's literally a case of yellow + blue = green.
I'm happy with this figure, but I'm glad I didn't buy the takara hoist and trailbraker.
So this is the last figure of the Masterpiece line?
No, MP60 Ginrai (aka Powermaster Optimus Prime Toy Version is the last one under the Masterpiece branding, then the brands unify under the Masterpiece Gattai branding with MPG9 Super Ginrai.
What does that mean ‘unify’ in this context? What lines are unifying? Masterpiece is unifying with ….? Does that mean the next generation of mainline toys are going to be higher premium? I know they are simplifying the transformations for cost measures, so I guess that’s the tell tale sign of what’s to come… less variety in lines, just channeling their energy into one main line. Maybe it’s going to mean less waffle in the designs, since everyone wants to fill them in the current mainlines.
