(Gasp!) ANNA! I just discovered that you conduct the Chapel Choir today, usually I'm here to listen to you on the organ. The Chapel Choir sounds fantastic! Excellent vocal discipline and tone. I sing in a 140-or-so voice group in South Jersey (we just did Carmina Burana in early May) so I'm verrrry picky about choral sound. Esenvalds has some really amazing music (Only In Sleep is beautiful, too). I would love to hear the Chapel Choir do Pilgrim's Hymn by Stephen Paulus someday (one of my faves). Could you maybe add that to your To-Do list?

I was amazed when I first heard Mozart's Adagio and Rondo, K. 617 with a glass harmonica. Totally different style, but almost the same instrument.

I've played tuned wine glasses with Cambridge University Wind Orchestra. Switching between tuba and the wine glasses and back was not as elegant as I might have hoped since the wine glasses had to be on the West Road concert hall floor to act as a sounding board. This would have been in the early 1990s.
