Rachel I always look forward to your end of month flip thrus - I just want to say I have some Luminance pencils and a large set of Pablos - I much prefer the Pablos and the Luminance are not worth the money - so I fully agree with you!
That is an amazing amount of pages you’ve completed. Well done! They are all beautiful too. I especially like the Johanna Basford pages as well as the Hanna Karlzon and Maria Trolle pages.

I originally bought five Luminance (a trio of green, and a light and dark pink), then recently picked up two varieties of payne's grey hoping to use them with my prisma which don't offer paynes grey and it's a constant annoyance to me... and I don't care for them. They don't do anything well IMO. They don't smush well, and they don't layer well because they are opaque. No matter what I do with them they show texture.. the only thing I haven't tried is solvent but I don't use solvent with anything (and IMO you shouldn't have to). I've watched a lot of tutorials trying to figure them out and everyone else winds up with a ton of texture too. Beautiful looking well made pencils.. but I'd rather color with my polys and prismas any day. I'm very glad I didn't buy them. I did buy the Museum Aquarelles last year for my birthday, and I regret it. Those are better even dry, smoother, but the color selection isn't great and they are way too expensive for what they are compared to any of my other watercolor pencils. I also bought the supracolors and I actually prefer those, they are a bit harder but at least they have a good color palette. Perhaps it would be different if I HAD to have lightfast pencils.. but it's a total fallacy that they are the only lightfast pencils.. many other brands have a ton of lightfast pencils, you just have to be a bit careful which ones you use. Also, Kimberly Clark did real life lightfast testing on the Museums.. and guess what, in use they are NOT all lightfast (this is true for too many waterbased mediums, not just Carandache).
It is interesting that more expenisve certainly does not always mean better pencils! I love my Pablos but not keen on Luminance, I like Chromaflow but not so keen on Lightfast! I do love my Polychromos though!!
