I’ve had several and got a new one in June. They are great affordable reliable and nicely put together cars that feel nice to drive. And no CVT! They are partnering with Toyota now for resources they need.
I own a Mazda 626 Sedan in Prestige Silver Metallic colour, 1990 model ... bought brand new in Melbourne, Australia as a gift from my father for my 18th birthday. He paid $ 32,000 Australian dollars for it back then! It's now 32 years old, has done 500,000 kilometres (310,000 miles) and l continue to drive it daily. Has never failed me. Unbelievable car. I cannot part with it. My first and so far, only car ...!! It still looks like new and has always been outside for its entire 32 years, so far. People cant believe it! Yesterday l purchased the 2022 Mazda 3. I am keeping my 626 and will never part with it and intend to drive both cars.
I bought this car in 2022 and noticed all models now have ambient foot well lighting available which I got as a genuine Mazda accessory and it works through the rotary control interface so I like it, it's OEM Mazda and one can install it into any gen4 Mazda3 it should come with it in full spec along with aluminum pedals and light up door sill plates.
I do think ambient lighting can be a bit gimmicky, but it would be nice if Mazda added some subtle lighting in the area right in front of the shifter, door panels and footwells...all in the same white color as everything else though, none of this infinite shades of color nonsense.
I like Mazda. Beautiful cars with a classic design in my opinion. Mazda looks so much better than all the new models of the competition. However, no turbo version available in Europe. We go for the CX30 with the normal 2 liter x engine. Your review clearly shows what the lighting does. Not a full matrix but certainly better than the standard equipment of normal cars. Very helpful for us, thank you and greetings from the Netherlands
Really great review, thorough yet to the point, great job! Mazda 3 is an amazing car, it's definitely on the short list for my next car! I really wish it had some ambient lighting options, but there are some solid after market options out there, so I don't think it's a deal breaker... especially considering everything this car has to offer for the price.
Thank you for making this video! I'm looking at buying a new car soon, and headlights are a very important consideration for me since I regularly drive in the dark. And since you asked, I prefer a fairly dark interior myself with red lighting as to not affect my night vision.
Thank you! Well I hate to say it, but I was SUPPOSED to get some Genesis this month, but they were pulled out of the fleet to go to some event. Now I don't know when I can get one..
@@PrimeAutotainment oh that sucks I'm very interested in acquiring a G80 sport or prestige and only await your reviews of it, I will also wait with you Nolan 💪
2021 turbo hatch owner here, (Machine grey, red leather) and I do think it would have been cool if Mazda added some subtle ambient lighting..at least in the Premium and Premium+. (mine is just premium) That said I'm happy Mazda paid attention to the small details..as in all the lighting is the same color/brightness. That is something not every car has and it messes with my OCD😂 Another great thing is the fact you can adjust the brightness of the center digital gauge to perfectly match the analog gauges on either side. I have mine set so it blends in both in daytime and at night. All that said, I have very few complaints about my car, and the biggest one is the suspension can be annoyingly stiff over bad pavement. It never gets crashy or bone rattling like some lowered cars with sports suspension, but I do think driving over some badly patched/cracked tarmac has contributed to a few rattles and squeaks over time. Don't let that scare you away from buying a Mazda 3 turbo, on good to decently good roads the suspension is a nice blend of handling/comfort...but you'll definitely want to test drive on something other than billiard table smooth roads before signing the paperwork if you're overly sensitive to such things. Of course the instant turbo torque may make you forget all about that aspect😂
Great night time review.Skip the turbo you will save money and the non turbo will last 50% longer and the regular version for 2024 now has 191 hp so its good enough that it all comes down to the driver in the seat the only advantage of the turbo is if you are drag racing.
I really wanted to buy the 2023 Mazda3; however ,consumer reports rated the headlights as poor! I ended up buying a 2023 Mazda CX 30 SE; I think the headlights were rated as adequate? I was not willing to take the risk of buying a Mazda 3-did I make the right choice? Thank you.
Okay I’m looking at sporty sedans and my top two choices are a 2.0t or this Mazda3 turbo. Also I will likely drive across the country… which one do you recommend
I dont think these headlights move, they just turn different elements on / off based on the steering input which looks like it actually moves the lamps, but its not that sort of system.
On the Turbo Premium Plus you do not get the entire aero kit. Only the front lip and rear spoiler. The side sills and rear diffuser need to be bought separately.
I bought a new 2021 Mazda CX-5. I believe the Mazda 3 has the same engine. It has burned engine oil from day one and getting progressively worse. I looked up and found a bulletin for my car to be repaired. I took it in and they agreed that my car fell under that bulletin according to the VIN but, that I had to wait for the engine light to come on. By my calculation that won't happen until one oil change after my warranty is up. Don't take a chance and buy Mazda’s. They don't stand by their product unlike Honda. Mazda will do whatever it takes to avoid paying to fix the problem, even when they themselves admit that there's a problem. My advice, stick to Hondas and Toyotas. I’ve had problems with their cars in the past but, they always fixed my warranty issues without question and after that they ran forever. Don’t fall for talking point that Toyota and Mazda are now collaborating and even use the same assembly line. It means nothing. There's a class action lawsuit against them (Haven't responded). I personally have filed with the Mazda, BBB, Attorney General, and a consumer agency. It's been two weeks and nothing. I'm lining up a lawyer as my last resort. Don't go through this hell, buy a Toyota or Honda instead.
@@d3vilscry666 After a battle with corporate, informing The Better Business bureau, and the Attorney General, they finally fixed it. It's great now. I didn't have to pay for anything. It was still under warranty. They were trying to run it out but, I wouldn't let them.

I never realized how much I needed Night Reviews for cars until I saw this!
Glad to hear it! I try to do them on a regular basis 👍
Same here.
Seriously, on design alone this car smashes the competition way out of the park! Amazing at night as well. Mazda are punching way above their weight.

these night reviews are actually so key. I always wonder what cars look like at night and is really important when buying a car
Thank you for adding the brake and reverse lights into your night reviews.
I've never actually seen a night review before, this is genius
I absolutely LUV my turbo special edition!!!!!! Always a new experience drive!!
What year model is the special edition turbo? I honestly didn't know such a thing existed, but now I am intrigued.
Thanks for doing a night review. Love this Mazda3 hatchback. I would love to have one. Thanks again.
This is my dream car. It's the exact color and everything. Hoping to get it by November, latest 🥺
Did you get it ?? 😂

Great review...Nolan I'm weird I like a dark cabin with only the interior lights on...it puts me in a driving mood vroom, vroom
I hear ya! It's definitely less distracting that way. Thanks for stopping my as always!
Amber turn signals front and rear, full LED, and separate from the brake lights in the rear. How all cars 2020 and up should be
WOW this car is the MOST beautiful
I just found your channel. Greate content and video quality
Thank you very much, I appreciate it!
Very nice review. Thanks!
No interior / ambient lighting please. Mazda is keeping it "old school" and I really like it. :)

I like this special red paint, it´s really good and thats why this red paint cost $ 1k extra in Germany, thanks for the video.
Thanks for stopping by!
I got the 100th edition turbo and ive been loving it

I WISH they made the red interior with this color! Cause id buy it in a heartbeat!
Can't wait for Mazda's new rear wheel drive inline 6 platform! Who's exited?!?!
OMG me! They keep delaying it and it's killing me! Then they launch it on the SUV 1st 😳
I've watched this review about 5x, makes me want to get the Mazda 3 turbo prm pls! 👀
I have this car (european version) and it has a led light in the glovebox. Its strange that yours doesn't have it.
Mazda is kicking ass and taking names these days. Zoom Zoom!
Never had a car with ambient lighting, so I’m fine without it 😂
😆😆👍
It’s so nice once you get it you want to go back
Eric I haven't either lol. Neither of my cars have anything remotely close to ambient lighting. Now I'm spoiled driving these around
Wish it comes in red with red interior.

Cheese and rice, Mazda 3 HB is an absolutely gorgeous design!
machine grey mazda 3 hatchback night review please?
I really want this one.
Go for it Leo!
you can purchase aftermarket ambient lighting trim. I've been looking at it but I don't want to disassemble my interior lol
I love your videos so much I would love to see a 2016 to 2017 Honda Accord v6 Touring if you could
I think he does new car reviews only
Thank you Jalin! Like Kody said I only get new cars but if for any reason I can get a used one, I think that would be fun to do!
The weird thing about my car is the led tail lights look different as if they aren't led lights🤔. I have the 2023 premium plus Mazda 3

I just noticed on my 2022 mazda 3 sedan that second circle around reverse light not working or its only noticeable at night?
Beatifull.👍

What a beautiful car that is.
Does the 2021 turbo non premium plus model have the same halo style LED headlights?
My question might a bit off, but this one and the usual mazda 3, does both have same rear seat space? And yeah, this car does a great job on lighting!
Yes the same
yes it's the exact same front and rear seat space
@@PrimeAutotainment thanks for the reply
The rear seat space is fine if you're under 5ft tall.
@@mic7856 lol, 5 ft, do you mean to say 6ft 😅.
I wish it has fog lights and headlight washer. I live in Canada.
I dont think these headlights move, they just turn different elements on / off based on the steering input which looks like it actually moves the lamps, but its not that sort of system.
That would be cool since it would not have moving parts adding simplicity.
How was the blind spot at night
Wish it came with fog lights, otherwise a really nice car.
I think that car forgot mount side aero parts and rear bottom diffusor only has front and rear toot spoiler better call mazda
