Hey man! Thanks for the tip. Really cool idea to do for those who can’t have this style set up in real life. Came across your channel looking for more info on how well impulses worked in Bias FX2 (great video as well). Just subscribed to your channel. Looking forward to seeing more from you.
This was really great! I am deffinately going to look for your preset. Thanks. What about wet dry wet? Have You ever made such a preset? I'm searching for that one.
I can sort of hear the difference but things like this never come across on RUclips like they do IRL. I used to have a guitarist who used a wet/dry set up using two amps and I can definitely attest to how great it sounds. I’ve been wanting to get more into Bias amp sims. I have the free version but watching you and how much you seem to dig using it, I’m probably about ready to break down and get the full version. Question: do you need the full version to use impulse responses?
The IRloader is actually included in the "Professional" license that costs $40, so that would probably be the best license for you. The only reason to get the $70 license is if you want the rack effects but the echorex is the only one I really like and you can get similar sounds out of the regular delay pedals.
Joel Dodge Oh.. nice. I didn’t even realize there were different levels of licensing. I guess I never really looked that deep into it. The impulse response thing caught my interest though because I’ve used them with real reverbs before. Where people have caught an IR of a cave or church and made them into IRs. The fact that you can do something like that just blows my mind.
im using the exact same equipment as you, same interface and same ipad..I can not get my tone to record for the video, I mean I can record it but i can t get it into a live stream without adding the sound to video after...I always end up with a dry tone with live or when i record a video. I hear my tone while recording but upon playback its just a dry signal....Can you tell me how to get what im hearing in my headphones into a youtube live or tiktok live..any help would be appreciated
I have the midi commander plugged into my iPad Air, and I’m trying to run a speaker cable into my 60w cabinet so I can play louder, instead of through headphones, but the volume is terribly low, and I have no idea how to fix it. Any tips would help.
@@fuzzyapplecore808 To be honest I've never tried to make a setup like that so I'm not sure... But if your interested in doing a hybrid setup you can just get an amp head like the "orange tiny terror' or one of the joyo amps because guitar amps have the power amps built in.
Great vid..interesting!... Could you make a video about how to make a pedal chain on bias fx2 mobile? Or does it work like in real life too? I have problems with the noise gate killing bends and some notes When playing with gain :/
It does react a lot like real life, to me it sounds like your turning the gate up to high. If your guitar is making that much noise you probably have a grounding issue.
What Bart asked about touching the metal parts of the guitar is the quickest way to find out if its a grounding issue. If the noise stops when you touch the metal parts the guitar isn't grounded properly (when you touch the metal you are grounding the guitar, thats why it stops). The electronics in guitars need to be grounded electrically to prevent that extra noise. If you feel comfortable taking your guitar apart you can see if you find a loose wire and reconnect it. or take it to someone to fix it. This is a very common issue with guitars one of mine is doing this right now too. Haven't gotten around to fixing it yet lol.
Mathias Pontes Bussinger I think that professional version is probably the most bang for your buck. The HD rack effects are the only real plus to the elite version and they really aren’t much better than the pedals in my opinion
This is really cool! Gives a lot more flexibility with the tone. Thanks for sharing
Thank you Joel for your Content, in my opinion, is very difficult to find information about Bias Fx. thank you for your job.
I recently got into creating music on my iPad Pro and found your channel very helpful. Subscribed 🙂
Your video will show me when I log on to RUclips. Because I only subscribed to your channel.
Love from india❤️
Thank you!

Thanks for the idea - I’m just getting into THU and considering my rig options - great info!
Thats a nice idea and I'm going to do that. In mixing you do the same so why not for the actual tone. Thank you mate!
Please post more ToneCloud rig presets??? Love your vids. Thanks
Thank you great vid

What about midi captain by paitaudio ?
Bro, Can bias fx be used as audio unit anywhere?
No it only does IAA. When I'm recording from it I use one track to record everything then move the audio to new tracks

You need to send it to a power amp (something that can boost the volume) before the cabinet
@@JoelDodge ok I didn’t know that, thank for this tip bro :)
@@JoelDodge do you have any recommendations on what power map I should buy?

@@JoelDodge whats a grounding issue?
@@ronnysuarez3257 Turn the noise gate off. Does the noise stop when you touch metal parts on your guitar like strings, bridge, tuners?

Can’t see any of your presets in tonecloud
(I’m running bias fx 2 Elite, IPad)
Wich Expansion is this one?
I'm using the elite one but you can do wet dry with any of the expansions
Joel Dodge is the Elite Worthy? I was looking at the Pro... greetings from Brazil!
