Oo i wonder if you can put mealworms or superworms in the dirt as a bit of enrichment for your rats to dig around for them and get a tasty treat. I used to do kinda the same thing with my hedgehog except instead of dirt i would use blankets, she would go hog wild lol

I never tried a dig box, but I've tried a pee rock and it works. 🐁🐀🐾
