    Those are called "clecos" (available at aircraft and auto shops) They hold sheet metal parts together, using the holes that will be eventually filled with rivets. It is a temporary fastener used while building.

    What are those things called holding it together... they look like rivets / clamps.. whats the proper name for them.. and what are they used for?

    Hi. Do you have to treat all the metal for anti-corrosion?

      6061 aluminum is not so prone to corrosion as the 2024 alloy.
      As long as you are not based near the sea, the extra effort to put corrosion protection isn't worth.
