It's this figure and naval commander that got me back into armada. They've made me want to rewatch it. Thanks for the awesome reviews, as they always lighten up my day!
FYI, on leader one, his fenders move separately from the wheel. To properly line them up push in on the fender only and they will slide over with a click. Absolutely love this figure and fanshobby has really impressed me with them. Also, they have teased prototypes of a Tidal Wave as well as jetfire and overload. Cant wait to have a armada mp collection.

Armada Megatron was always my favorite design of the character.
Armada was my introduction to Transformers. So seeing both this and Navel Commander (Armada Optimus Prime) being undated (in 3rd party form) fills me with joy
There's just so much play value with this toy. I love all the little things he can do while in tank mode.
I love the back and forth between Megs and Wave! Even before "Dude, Where's My Couch".
The only version of Megs where the underarm cannon wasn't just a one time thing in the cartoon. I'm surprised they don't give him an underarm cannon anymore, yes the arm cannon is iconic and already really over compensating but that doesn't mean they can't bring it back?
Yes, G1 Megatron did use his back barrel like his toy in the cartoon, it was in part 3 of the pilot.
It was also used in the episode "Heavy Metal War" when Optimus fought Megatron in gladiator-style combat.
Not really my favorite design for Megatron, but it seems to be a nice figure and I'm glad that Armada is getting toys.
At least its better than the monstrosity that is rid megatron
Armada is what got me back into transformers I know it wasn't a great transformers but I thought it was fun enough and I have a bunch of the toys
I will say though fans toys did a good job Checks all of the marks for an Armada Megatron and the fact it has actual mini-con ports is a nice little touch.
Lastly I have been rewatching Armada on Tubi TV and I still like it
I just started rewatching Armada on there too! I first watched it when I was younger but don’t remember much now, I’m enjoying it a lot though.
The fact that they made an Armada Prime and Megatron makes me hopeful that they will make Hot Shot and Starscream. They were my favorite characters as a kid. Also wouldn't mind if they made the entire starting Transformers cast from when the show started. Not sure if they would go so far as to make the entire Armada cast, maybe the Armada combiner mini-con teams?
This iteration of Megs, especially with the horns in robot mode, makes him look like a beetle of some kind, maybe a tiger beetle. Those horns are like pincers of a beetle.
lampshaded in Micron Legend I believe where Thrust makes a backhanded comment about him looking like some form of beetle... wanna say Stag

It was an ongoing thing with UT to have characters resemble others, this megatron was like a cross between his bw counterpart+scorponok+bludgeon while in energon he looked like something in between galvatron and thunderwing, cybertron straight up looked like banzaitron

Is the most menacing looking Megatron of the entire story of Transformers! I love it!
I didn't love the Armada designs for most characters, but it delights me to see them made so well. I note that they're also doing a version of Energon Prime, and presumably an Energon Megatron to go with it, and I hope they get to a Cybertron Prime at a time when I can afford it, because it's by far my favorite Optimus Prime design.

After the comparison of the two leader ones. I just noticed that Cybertron Metroplexes mini con is a heavy remold of Armada leader 1. And it only took me until I was 22

Just got my fans hobby Armada Megatron this month and he's truly amazing really loving him
I really appreciate figures whose light up eyes work with painted eyes to avoid the dead eye look when turned off. So far I know of this one, FT Omega Supreme and FT Fort Max.
I'd love them to have a go at Armada Jetfire with Cometor and Over-load with Roll out. They would be so impressive with combining with Optimus.
If they do that. They gotta add tidal wave for Megatron. But then again how would he work in terms of transforming?
I need this in my life!!! I can display him with the OG one I had as a child!
I think my favorite aspect of these figures is the designers threw in WFC Trilogy Micromaster ports on top of the standard Minicon ones (which they've demonstrated in videos) so these figures can hold ALL THE SMALL BOYS and act as bridges for literally two entire trilogies of play patterns. That is so awesome to me.
It would be cool if they made an Armada Starscream
I think the painted eyes are just an extra clear set that they painted over. That's why it still works

I like how the Minicon ports are the same size as the original figures.

I've been debating on this and Navel Commander for a good while. I think after this review, my decision is made ha ha. I love the Armada versions and have Tidal Wave plus Jetfire and Rollout. I hope Fan Toys makes those as well.

fun fact for anyone who doesn't know this but the minicon drill bit for Cybertron Metroplex is a remold from Megatron's minicon in transformers Armada Leader-1
Easily the best representation of Armada Megatron until now! Wow just wow. I can hear David Kay’s iconic voice when I look at it.
This has me excited for Galvatron as that purple color scheme he waa rocking was just perfect. My definite must gets are Jetfire to combine with Optimus, Galvatron, Starscream and I'm praying for a Sideways.
While I am so desperately waiting for the anniversary Armada Optimus I am gonna get both of these guys and any other Armada figure they make. These two looks so glorious that having them is a must for me especially since Armada was my introduction to the world of transformers. And they are supposedly working on both a tidal wave and jetfire

Hey emgo on studio series soundwave (space mode) the ball jointed things on his torso fit into his hands, and they make great weapons.
I adore this figure. I really hope fans hobby does a galvatron repaint.
They're already working on a Powerlinx Optimus Prime repaint so I'm positive they'll do Galvatron next. Probably next year even.

This is so amazing
There's so much to like about this figure. The size, the gimmicks, the overall design, but for some reason I just can't see it as Armada megatron. It's that same feeling I get from that Combiner wars version. The main thing that seems to break it for me is really the smallest issue: the fact that shoulders aren't connected to the treads above them. That's such a major element of how Armada megatron moves, looks, stands, that just having them floating above the shoulder blocks is so wrong.
I love the Armada line. That was my introduction to Transformers. Im so glad some of them are being redone. My biggest complaint though, is that every toy had to have a gimmick of some sort. Most of the time the gimmick was kinda stupid, and it usually made the robot form suffer. Scavengers possibly the worst. Great character. Toy looks good, I have it, but he has no actual possible legs.
Tidal wave and overload are currently in works..

Personally, since I have the original versions of armada megatron and Optimus, I don’t really want this guy, and I prefer the look of the originals as well, but can’t deny that this figure looks great
