If you speak Portuguese especially the one spoken in Brazil it becames even easier for you to understand Galician than someone who speaks the Portuguese spoken in Lisbon. The accent is much closer to Brazilian Portuguese. If you have to pay a lot of attention in order to understand the lyrics in this "medieval cantiga" it is because is sung in an archaic Galician which makes a little difficult even for someone who speaks Galician.
