Yes, the fight song was written by two brothers from Holyoke who went to Notre Dame. Holyoke had a large Irish immigrant population and continues to have the second largest St. Patrick's Day Parade. The song was first played in public on the huge organ at the Church I used to attend with my daughter, The United Congregational Church.

How many times will you get to see the Boston Pops as the backup band?

Well I suppose twice. For the Notre Dame Marching Band and again if the Pops gets lucky for the Michigan Marching Band. Go Blue! And I did enjoy The Fighting Irish Band.

Trying to educate the heathens in New England. Go Irish !

Forgive them in New England it is ever so difficult to educate cement. Beyond that bc is hysterical to think they can become an ND. Shake down the thunder.

Excellent atmosphere and band tradition. I have been to over 50 P5 stadiums, and ND is the only one gives our UM a run for its money. It is a great place to watch a college football game, and a great fight song, too, like The Victors!

There is no fight song in the Universe better than NDs..not even close...and our Alma Mater is only equalled by that of that of the US Naval Academy..
