Appreciate ur efforts in this week’s podcast. It reminded me of two things: 1. When I was a kid, I was babysat by a wonderful sister; however, her zeal for “the truth” bordered upon being a zealot. She was studying w/ this young lady (my big crush as a kid) who also had a toddler in which this sister babysat. The subject came up w/ her husband (an Elder) about the lack of progress her Bible student was making, & she’s going to let her know if she didn’t change her ways, Jehovah may not have mercy on her come his imminent judgement day (mid 80’s). Overhearing, I asked about her baby, & the sister quickly turned to me & said, Jehovah will punish her too! In my heart I just felt sadness, & insecure as my mom wasn’t yet baptized at this point in life. 2. My very last meeting as an Elder was during the C.O visit. I chose not to be in attendance, but listened over Zoom as I was a full fledged PIMO. As I had my head down, I quickly rose up after the C.O said he couldn’t wait for everyone to be destroyed, he’s tired. The audience started laughing & clapping. Then he said, yes, it will be a sad occasion, maybe even some associates or family will face the consequences of their lack of adherence, but as long as we preached & did our part, we’re free of blood guilt & it will be a joyous occasion. Again, more laughing & clapping. This article proves 3 things: 1. The religion is completely out of touch with its own practices 2. They are not completely familiar with the Bible 3. It’s two faced, which is y they have the public feature, the restricted congregant feature (online library), & the all access feature reserved for certain levels of Bethelite members. Great job, my man. P.S-as I started reading the Bible slower, I realized everything u said the Bible promotes is actually true; & there’s a lot of hypocrisy & contradictions found.
WOW! Both of those stories are awful! I'm not surprised it got your attention. I agree, the vasat majority of JWs don't even know their own religion....it's tragic!
@BadViking1 Also, the promotion of genocide, as well, including innocent ones who were also under oppression. I started ?ing things after the book of Gen chpt 1 compared to Gen chpt 2. It’s the same story, but the order of creation has changed, & it also appears God felt everything was to His/their liking in chapter 1 compared to chapter 2. Chpt 1 concludes: “Then God said, “Behold, I have given you every seed-bearing plant on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit contains seed. They will be yours for food. And to every beast of the earth and every bird of the air and every creature that crawls upon the earth-everything that has the breath of life in it-I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so.” But in Chapter 2, it’s the opposite. Lol. Now we see that everything wasn’t given to them, as two trees are planted to test them. So not only is creation completely backwards from Chapter 2 vs. Chapter 1, every plant wasn’t given to them to eat in Chapter 2 vs. Chapter 1. It appears that the Bible has been authored by several ppl, & it looks to be a book full of part truth, part myth, part religious bias.
@@bygeorgehemayberite8385 The difference between Genesis Chapter One vs. Chapter Two are VERY easy to see and VERY interesting to study. VERY few people realize this.....really cool for you to post this!
Thank you S P. I have noticed more and more lately this statement from the, GB. "The Governing Body has decided" Governing Body Please explain, do you think you are God's? Why wasn't Christ Jesus included? The Governing Body Has Decided" Who do you think you are???
This one was great Stacy!! So true and so much intolerance in this religion. The Good Samaritan was an apostate as were all the others Jesus spoke to and loved. It continues to amaze me what the GB uses to back up their teachings with the Bible that JWs do not even read and ponder what is actually being said.
Excellent video. I laughed out loud in a few places. It truly is absurd isn't it. No wonder I felt like I was going crazy with cognitive dissonance while in that organisation.

👋Greetings from SW Florida, Stacey. Biblical tolerance is an oxymoron, a contradiction indeed. You've driven this point home quite truthfully. Thanks!👍👍👍
Courteousness,.consideration, and fairness are all a part of being educated and polite, but nothing to do with tolerance! They don't even know what it means! The absurdity is too much, even for WT!
I married a pioneer Sister without the OK of the Elders! So we were ordered to divorce, when we refused we were removed, not Disfellowshipped, but removed and shunned! Because according to the 11 Kings in NY, removed is different than Disfellowshipped! And the Elders decide now who marries whom! 😮 So I was tolerant with my speech and just used sign language 🖕 and told those Elder's where they could put this! Of course the main Elders Mother an Eldress which JW'S say they do not have officially, wrote a love letter to me for marriage saying we could walk holding hands in the ministry. Yes your reading correctly, the main Elder's Mother wanted me to marry me! So of course, we could only correct our outrages sin of marrying without their permission by DIVORCING! So his mother could marry me! So there is a price to tolerance. A good subject you may think of covering are the Elderesses that exist in Congregations which they claim they do not have!!! 😮
Elders would not “ order” to divorce especially if there is no scriptural reason, I find this hard to believe what you are saying, even given what we know how elders can be.
Divorce is so against their belief system none of this makes sense. Was it where or how you two were married that upset the elders ? How do the NY head guys Come into play ? Locally there are elders & others high up in congregation that have in the JW lifestyle " broken families" such as non gender children, kids in college one a daughter ! Another his son stopped attending, lives w a lady who has her kids, now they have a child neither work receive from social programs, which JW basically promoted to be done. IDK missing details?? NO I am not a JW MANY of my neighbors are. Lived her 25 yrs now.
I do believe you because we saw in our congregation the overseer breaking up couples because he wanted to decide who could marry who. My mother said that to his face and he said, "I could fisfshellowship you for that." They can play God but don't you dare call them out on it.
The JW explanation of tolerance is only that you have to be tolerant TOWARDS THEM if you believe something else. Thanks for another great one!!! I can “tolerate “ 😄you!
You're right Stacy- I am laughing. Remember if someone wants to understand what the true spirit of Christianity is they should only read the book of John and nothing else.
@survivingparadisepodcast I can well imagine that they were. Telling people to do or not do things that dont match your conscience would be damaging to your pysche. I often wondered if the speakers realized what they were conveying?! Im sure many dont. Some are just narcs & dont care or probably even think its humorous. It wakes the caring ones up.
How, DOES, God tolerate His Organization ? Nothing more than a bunch of idiots running the show !! I think He needs to look elsewhere, maybe the Salvation Army; at least they tangibly HELP people…. Great Work Stacy

Hernan Cortes died on December 2 , 1547 . December 2 was day 336 of 1547 . Year 21 of the 16th century was year 1521 , the year that Hernan Cortes captured the Aztec city of Tenochtitlan , the present Mexico City . 16th century x year 21 = 336 .
I remember having to write an essay about tolerance in jr high. I squared the circle with "I tolerate but I don't approve of." A text book case of mental gymnastics, but really, that IS the org stance on it. JW's tolerate 'evil-doers' just like their god tolerates them in their lore -- here for now until they get destroyed. 😑 It's not a REAL tolerance, it's a tolerance in the sense that, like it was mentioned in that WT article, they can't stone people in this day and age anymore.

Jesus fought against these against these abuses.

so that father and son must have had huge fights over stuff...sounds just like people, nothing heavenly there
