- Designed and developed in Italy for the Indian market, the 2020 Aprilia SXR 160 is the newest offering from Piaggio. It adorns maxi-scooter clothes but is closely similar to the sportier Aprilia SR 160 underneath. Piaggio had unveiled the Aprilia SXR 160 at the Auto Expo 2020, making the viewers go weak in the knees because of its classy and distinctive styling. It also promises to be more practical and easier to live with than the rest of its Aprilia siblings.

Thank you for another very professionally produced and presented review. This is one of the best bike review channels. Such a pity that most of the bikes you review are not available in the UK where I live. I am surprised that this scooter has a drum rear brake rather than a disc. Also 10.6bhp isn't much for the capacity. Some European scooters are making 14.5 from 125cc and even my air cooled Sinnis Hero makes 10bhp from a 125cc engine.
Hey Mitchell, We Indians are more concerned about vehicle price & fuel efficiency. When ever you ride hard or rough & tough for a scooter, the fe shouldn't goes down below 35 kmpl or else the service center get's the blame. This is for common people mind set. As for the enthusiast, they don't really concerned about fuel efficiency. Power & comfortable ride for long hours on saddle. Unfortunately as of SEP 2021, this is the only bigger capacity maxi scooter available here. BMW motorcycle plans to launch C 400 GT here but the price would be eye watering 4 lakhs ex showroom INR.
