Raphael held all 4 of the turtles with one hand, and even swung 3 of them overhead with the other. Dude is strong af. Considering their size and bone density each of them has to weigh at least 300lbs. Raphael can nigh effortlessly swing more than 1200lbs with one arm and support it with the other, not the mention the grip strength needed to hold Donnatelo's stick.

I think this Shredder could have been cool if his suit wasn't so mechanical. Or full of knives. A simple exoskeleton that helps him keep up with the turtles with his signature gauntlets would have been perfectly fine.
I mean the turtles are massive, I feel like it be weird if just a dude in a costume with an exoskeleton is just able to beat up all 4 of the turtles. Also the suit makes him look more menacing

The real issue is that they made the turtles 6ft + giants they should be 4-5 ft like the old versions
Shredder had so many opportunities to end them.. so annoying when the enemy is clearly more powerful, but plot armor saves the protagonist

Unpopular opinion: I loved the movie through and through. The bulky turtles, the badass transformer Shredder... and turtles' personalities were so on point
Yeah, not to mention, Out of the Shadows was pretty cool for a sequel, although Shredder got absolutely disrespected at the end of that film

Mutant Mayhem was literally an abomination
This was actually pretty well done. The cartoons may have been a bit to cheesy to straight copy but this was about as good as I’d expect Hollywood to make an adaptation of a classic memory.
Less is more, though, I really don't know why Shredder sounds, looks and acts like Megatron.

Liked how they all free falled for 5 solid seconds but some how was able to grab ahold of that tower lol.

I think its honestly really impressive that they can fight a guy made of mostly knives and no one is cut once

@@spidergoblin. no they're not. Bay went too childish on them. Leo and Raph are canonically very serious types. The humour actually comes from their seriousness. Also Don isn't really a stereotypical nerd. He is a genius and a ninja. Michaelangelo is the stupid, funny and clumsy one. Also in all of animated media and live action, they never ever address the freaking monstrous talent, that Mikey has for fighting. He is the most gifted one and it never gets mentioned. The comics actually picked up a, non canon, storyline where they show how a Mikey in the future would be and what his "ceiling" looks like and it is glorious.

Not gonna lie I’ve always loved this shredder design the most cause even if it’s a bit too robotic, all those knives both distinguish him from any other samurai character, AND really sell the whole “shredder” gimmick

It’s nice to see a fight for once where the Turtles all defeat Shredder together. Usually it’s one by one taken down with one Turtle standing, but this is different

ALso the height for which the tower falls is considerably less, and with much less mass behind it. Fallong in the side/sliding down the walls etc.
compard to falling 3x the height with several times the mass and nothing arresting the fall.
So basically it hit the building, didn't get set off, slowed down, and got idsabled before it eventually came down fully.

I really love all fighting scenes from this movie. They'r smooth & detail. I like the camera's work during the fight as well. Skill's mapping between the turtles surprisingly pretty consistent. Still my favourite Tmnt movie.
Edit i also personally like this shredder's power suit over the classic one. Considering the turtle's weapons consist of sharp & blunt weapons, its bulky all metal armor looks make it even more menacing.
I think the disconnect is how over kill shredder, it does make him legitimately intimidating, but when he's beaten by a game of Buck-Buck would only work if it was played for laughs, but it isn't

The most unpopular opinion from me, I like Michael Bay's TMNT the most well second to the 2007 TMNT, the design of the turtles (my favorite) and chemistry between them are kickass, plot definitely can be so much better. I'm sad it'll never get more sequels and apparently everyone hates it.. Honestly dark tone and more mature TMNT combined with Marvel'esque comedy surprisingly works for me.
I like it too, after reading it I hope somebody adapts the Last Ronin comic into a faithful live action movie. The turtles actually work very well in a grounded, gritty movie medium for serious stories compared to animation which works better for laid back cartoons.
