- This is my first restore of a PING. This is an old ZING, made in the early 80s. Decided to give it a little modern twist and it turned out great! Being its made from a solid brass/bronze, the pitting on it was pretty deep so, its not perfect, but it is very cool!

This putter was for me. Not a fan of the Ping grip. But don't fear, if I do another one I already have the PP58 on standby 🤣

Dude, another great restoration. These are the ones I practice on. I bought six and have restored 2. I torched one blue with a rainbow fade paint scheme and cerakote as one black with a BMW M color scheme. I like the black and white, way better than it was and these are really great putters. I have really learned a lot from you, so thank you for that. My next one is the DIY button back on my SC flowback. Awesome! Thanks again

No cree e clean build, I found an old ping pal that had that old set plastic ball retriever, I think that was made in Korea.

The "Flash" time. Is just a 15 minute period that you let the painted part sit, and let it "degas" before baking.

I disagree. That's actually one of my favorite grips from GP, and it's extremely cheap.
@@igolf906 you put a lot of time and work into that putter. In my opinion it needed a better grip to compliment your work. If you’re happy with it that’s all that really matters.

You've got me and my boy refurbishing putters..hes been mainly messing with pings but were gonna tackle my beat up 2012 Scotty this winter..and i wanna customize my nike method core..gotta know where you found those nike band stickers?

Hey man, quick question. One of the poloshing wheels along with the some of the blasting sand you recommend is sold out. Do you have any solid recomendations for good solid all around options I can ise for both?
Honestly other than those I use the 3M wheels. Expensive but work well. You can try these, but I've never used them before. amzn.to/3xBaShr

Another quick question for ya (sorry been asking a ton since I started)
Working on some old pings and these heads will not come loose from the shaft. Tried head gun, just moved to a torch but they are STUCK. Any suggestions?
Never really had an issue.
But when heating the hosel, make sure you are slowly twisting the head off, and keeping steady pressure. If that doesn't work, check to make sure it's not pinned into the shaft. If not, then you might have to get a long steel rod and stick it down the shaft. Heat it up, and hammer it off. I've had to do that with old Titleist irons before. But never a putter.
Putter looked great till you put a Golf Pride grip on.
As extremely subjective as that is, I like the GP Tour Tradition & Tour Classic grips over anything Ping has to offer (grip-wise).
what grit is that wheel?
The wheels I use are in the description of all my videos. Mostly use 240 grit
What are you using on the first step of grinding? What’s on the wheel?
It's a convolute/deburring wheel. Check my descriptions for all the items I use.

idk what I do wrong but my paintfill always comes out looking terrible.
Wait for it to dry before wiping it clean
Do all that amazing work and then make me cringe by not closing off the grip end with the tape twisted
You do realize that closing the end off with tape is completely unnecessary right?
I agree with this guy ⬆️ If you've ever Regripped clubs straight from the manufacturer you will see they don't find it necessary either. 🤷♂️
