Nothing that’s coming against you is going to keep you from your destiny; nothing you’ve been through is going to hinder your future. Don’t believe those lies that you’ve been through too much, the sickness is too big, the past was too hurtful, you’ve had too many bad breaks. All of it is setting you up for God to show out in your life. Psalm 71 says, “God will restore you to greater honor.” The greater the difficulty, the greater the honor. Get this down in your spirit: you’re not going to look like what you’ve been through. You’re going to look like who you are: blessed, prosperous, talented, successful, healthy, whole, victorious. New and growing channel here, God bless you through this comment. Amen

I used to listen to Derek Prince’s teaching on radio in the US. Little did I know that I would one day move to Jerusalem and meet him and Ruth. His book Appointment in Jerusalem is one I still treasure
So happy you met them; wish I had. Nowadays is difficult to find a teacher and a healer as good as he was, blessed by Jesus.
I just recently was introduced to him by a friend of mine. Love his teaching and now watching these videos to get to know his amazing life story.
I suffer from back problems, so I watch his teaching on how to ask God to remove the curse.

Me too. Just this month and his messages have been a blessings to me, and deepening my spiritual growth in the lord, in the midst of difficulties and challenges. But in all things, I shall praise my God and trust him for sudden Turnaround in my life..

He knows your troubles, he hears you! He is for you, on your side, always! It may feel silent at times, but he’s holding you close! May the Lord return soon! We are drawing closer. He is coming! Believe and trust in the Lord, you will be saved. Period. May the Lord bless you all! Hang in there family. Stay strong. It is not easy following the Lord. We are scoffed at. We give up our earthly dreams, our fleshly desires. What the enemy offers is short lived, but heaven is forever! Life may seem or be unfair, but God is with you! Always remember that. Things may get better or worse for you, but a kingdom awaits you! Finish the race! Repent daily and carry your cross. This world is fading fast. Your troubles are temporary! New channel here, I’d appreciate any kind of support. Don’t give up! God loves you so much! So do I. The Lord bless you!

I love this so much and I was a baby Christian when I learn of Pastor Derek used to visit my church in Singapore then. I received a gift which was a cassette of D P’s teaching !
Derek Prince Ministries has been instrumental in guiding me to deep relationship with the Lord. I know I speak for most when I say Derek Prince is a blessing and a rare breed. His heart was pure and his love ran so deep for the Lord which overflowed onto Lydia & Ruth. I so enjoyed watching this video.

So when Derek and Ruth married. Ruth was 48 and Derek was 62. Derek was 30 when he married Lydia and Lydia was 56.
I am currently reading God is Matchmaker. It is such an eye opener. God is involved in the details.

Is this the last episode in the series? I'll be so sad.
Its remarkable to me that even Brother Prince would say his “feelings” about divorce!!!!! Its in SCRIPTURE that if you were innocent of adultery by an unfaithful spouse You can remarry. Ruth’s fomer husband had already remarried anyway
What is the scripture please? I cannot find such a scripture except after the death of a spouse. Many people use 1 Corinthians 7 but I’m sceptical especially when using newer translations. Remarriage is only mentioned after a spouse dies.
@@blue246 Matthew 5:32 and 19:9 both give sexual immorality- “porneia” in the Greek- as grounds for divorce. Matthew 5:32 doesn’t mention remarriage, but Matthew 19:9 does. I was raised to believe that even the innocent party could not remarry in the case of divorce (and obviously, marriage for life is the Will of God), so I really had to study this passage carefully. The word “porneia” is translated “fornication” in the KJV, but elsewhere in the New Testament, it is used in situations that are obviously adultery (e.g. the man who slept with his step-mother in Corinth) which is why other translations say “sexual immorality”, etc. That being said, I have never seen anything in the Bible that would excuse leaving one’s spouse because you are “incompatible”, etc. In fact, unless there is a case of adultery, a believer who ends up leaving their unbelieving spouse is commanded to remain single. Anyway, back to the main point- Derek Prince was scripturally justified in marrying his second wife as her husband had committed adultery against her, but he was also very wise to make sure that was the case before proposing to her so as not to fall into sin.

Adultery does not allow for divorce.
The exception clause is fornication during the betrothal period just like Mary and Joseph. Joseph was going to put his “wife” away for fornication.
We are bound to our first spouses so long as we both live. We can separate for abuse, adultery etc but we must either remain single or reconcile-1 Corinthians 7:10.
Look up Joseph Webb of CPR Ministries- he recently passed away but he gives a great understanding on the subject. God bless you.

@@shellyjensen609 Thanks this is loving truth well written. I too have pondered on this situation, The Holy Spirit lead Derek to do something he had never considered or thought acceptable to God. Yet Derek (and Ruth as did Lydia) faithfully sought the Lord, following the Holy Spirit’s prompting when Derek was shown in the Spirit he was going to marry a divorced woman.
Outcome - The Bride is greatly blessed - Ruth and The Church!
Their obedience to God, later exposed the ‘flesh’ and many problems that had arisen in the ‘accountability’, group Derek was apart of, along with tearing down the false doctrine about ‘not allowing/forbidding/judging’ remarriage for the innocent person. God is the judge of who is innocent.
Outcome - the spine to all these teachings, is their faithfulness, sacrifice and willingness to obey God and go against the ‘opinions and interpretations of people’. Just like it was with the biblical Apostles, True Prophets, Evangelists, faithful men, women….and most prominently Jesus.
We are blessed as the Spirit leads the righteous back to Jesus who is preparing us to be presented to God -
Our Father.

Yes, I can see why you are in shock about this. To be clear: Ruth was indeed a divorced woman. However, her ex-husband left her for another woman and so - depending on your interpretation of Jesus' and Paul's words about remarriage - she had a scriptural basis to remarry. God also told Derek and Ruth that they were ment to marry to each other.
i used to think it was OK And that there was exceptions for divorce and remarriage And I also listen to preachers give different opinions
So I decided to study the word of God more carefully And now I realise those exceptions were no exceptions at all
Jesus does not give the exception for adultery in Matthew Because the Greek word for adultery is not even used in Matthew The Greek word I believe is the word for fornication That would explain The situation with Mary and Joseph

Lydia was an ugly woman, but very devoted to God and her family.
In Christ, no one is ugly or beautiful. Outward appearances are vain.
Well then it's happy she was Derek's wife and not yours. Equally happy a thing is you are with someone else and not me, because you have an ugly soul.
