Tropical Storm Eta is making a push into the upper Florida Keys late on Sunday evening as it continues to churn in the straits. High winds were beginning to blow debris in the air and cause some minor damage while storm surge inundations has begun on Atlantic BLVD & Garden Cove DR. Winds gusting to nearly hurricane force are becoming problematic causing power flashes. Emergency officials were working incidents along the HWY1 corridor as conditions went downhill quickly.

@@kattmilk I feel super grateful to haven woken up with power. I've been here 15 years and have been through my share of hurricanes and TS. No need to compare or gloat. My street is a river. Can't leave. No trees fell on the house. Feeling fortunate.

I live in plantation and we got 50-60 mph gusts. The most it did over here was knock out the power for a little while, broke branches off trees, and gave us about 6-8 inches of rain. Theres a lot of branches on the ground right now in my complex.

Key Largo got the better of it. I'm in Marathon, and we had some good winds, but you guys caught the back end (NE Wall) as the eye went over the islands.

You could see an eyewall develop with the latest radar scan. It possibly a hurricane now.

DeltaTrooper - 2005 except that Cat 1 Sally had a wind gust of 123mph in Pensacola. Not sure why they always down grade the Pensacola storms but whatever. The Tropical Storm we just had come near Tampa had a 5’ surge in my neighborhood. 17 houses flooded and it also was supposed to be nothing.

Definitely a hurricane called landfall instead of a troubled storm tropical storm wind is not that strong as in the video definitely hurricane forced wind
