I didn't lose any and it didn't work for me 😭😭😭😭😭 my stubborn straight lashes won't give up that easy... Eyelash curler works only if I pres it very hard too....
Ok so, just some tiny details 1. It’s not just from Mexico 2. It curls you lashes in such a natural way because it has no pressure line 3. It’s less likely for you to pull your lashes 4. It’s better to use a thin spoon 5. Usually that is not the way you use the spoon but it works
@@nanaochiWell, she actually did say that. She said, “It’s something that probably ORIGINATED from el Rancho.” The word originated literally means ‘from.’ Although she did say probably, she still said that lash curling with a spoon came from Mexico. So, she basically just said “Lash curling came from Mexico.” I do understand where you got confused, though.
I’m 1st gen Mexican and my mom didn’t really wear makeup, so when at around 25, I had a cousin from Mexico visit, I was SHOOK when I saw her pull out a lighter, heat the spoon and curl her lashes. 😅 I remember she was impressed at my liquid eyeliner in a moving car skills.
Seeing a spoon in someone’s makeup bag would set a whooooole different alarm off in my head and honestly I’m glad to know not everyone expects trauma/abuse at every turn ❤
You’d judge that without asking why it’s there? Then you’re nosey and judgmental. Maybe this taught you that you don’t always know WHY someone may be doing something, and it’s not automatically weird just Bc you find it unusual. It’s sad you had to be told something so obvious though.
@@dulaneygibson2014 honey… no. Just no. I wouldn’t ever ask someone and embarrass them.. good try at being woke but sounds like you need to actually experience life and then come back and try to tell me I should call them out. Goodness gracious..
This is ALL I USE 😅 if your pulling eyelashes your angle and pressure is off.. I don't use both hands. I actually use 1 hand to curl with the spoon. So basically hold your spoon 🥄 where the tail is on your whole hand and the spoon head is on ur lashes while with the help of your 👍 thumb you curl. Plus it lasts longer 😊 Your welcome now add me 😅
Im 41 and I’ve been doing this since I was 12. I just hold the spoon differently and I use my thumb. I learned this from my cousins in Mexico. lol. Till this day, I still carry a spoon in my makeup bag! 😊.
I tried it and it works great! I had a few minutes adjusting a spoon but I feel more control than with a curler (I'm always afraid to pinch my eyelid) and the result looks so natural! ❤
Ooo I do this too just Something to note if you do do this is that you need a thin spoon it can't be a thick spoon Cuz if you do use a thick spoon it won't curl as well
It works best if the spoon is warm as well but yessss love this! It's so convenient when you can't find a curler and tbh I find it easier EDIT: run it under hot water for 20 seconds or use a hair dryer on it, pls don't microwave silverware
As a Latina 🇲🇽 I can relate to this soooooo freaking much cause almost every Tia ,abuela, older cousin, and my mom would have a spoon in their makeup bag now ik whyyy😭🇲🇽💀
I think there’s a way that you can do it without pulling on the lashes as much. You do it by putting pressure on the thumb and kinda rolling the lash out
a tiny spoon in my makeup bag is a MUST HAVE especially since i have pin straight lashes lol. I use the spoon to curl but then use the lash curler to lift the lashes!
This is such a neat idea. I remember when those heated eyelash curlers were trending & I had been heating my eyelash curler with a blow dryer to curl mine since I was in middle school. I still swear by it to this day over any of those heated ones. I have extremely straight lashes that also stay straight down unless I manipulate them with some sort of heat. So if anyone is in the same boat as me maybe try my trick! 😊💅🏻
?? I thought everyone heated up their eyelash curler... So people curly there lashes with an eyelash curler without heating it up first?? WOW I swear I never knew that because how would it how the curl without heat.....same with this spoon trend, it works best if heated with hair dryer first
this is to the ppl who arent allowed to use makeup or eye lash curler. this is definitely not for me cause i use a lot of makeup but some people arent allowed to use eye lash curler, makeup, skincare etc, which is okay and not to be ashamed of or anything!💞
My mom is from Mexico and all my hispanic aunts know how to this with a spoon and they use the same hand that is holding the spoon to hold the eye lash and the spoon to have a better Look on the eyelashes it also make it easier to do both with just one hand
Yeah !! Growing up I saw how my older sister would have like 1-5 spoons in her crust dusty makeup bag to witch I learned from watching her do her makeup that it was to curl her lashes 😂
Yeah. It’s a thing in Mex. You only need on hand, though. No need to tug or pull at your eyelid. Firmly slide your lashes between the spoon and your thumb, like curling a ribbon. The spoon should be facing down, towards the floor. Warm up spoon for a better/longer lasting effect. I only use water to warm up my spoons.
It’s really bad to that , my mom did it her whole life and she went to get lash extensions once and they noticed she had few lashes and it was because of all the pulling
You should get like a super thin spoon because that's how it's supposed to be. You're supposed to get like a thinner spoon for that but you did a really good job😂😂😂
I feel like id pull out a bunch before curling lol
just curl it immediately after washing your face with your hands. After regularly doing ot for eyebrows and lashes they stay all day and night
