All of them have nice English pronunciation, usually if kpop groups even the really famous ones sing in English, there would be some members with awkward English. The first girl's vocal tone is great, she has that inter-vocab style tho. So nice to hear

After listening to so many oddly-arranged English songs from Clazziquai and similar acts, the fact that this makes 100% sense and doesn't break the syllables in weird places is amazing. Whoever did the lyrics for this version deserves a massive bonus.
I would guess they had a monolingual or a truly bilingual native anglophone do the lyrics or double check them. It’s the same in Greek. No Greek singer should EVER release anything in English. It ain’t hit or miss, it’s horrible every time. I mean, “this beat can make my heart beat like a drum…I really like the flavor of this chewing gum,” for example. It couldn’t be more unenglish if it tried and that’s a real lyric! But then you have a singer whose English just sounds exactly like an American talking and even hits the right syllables we say and silences the ones we don’t, no pronouncing every syllable as if you’re sounding out a word…well, that always ends up being a Greek American or Greek South African or Greek Australian. Really, they simply should be banned from using English it’s so so bad otherwise…

But yeah, I dunno about a ban and I can't say that I'm familiar with Greek music, but I've listened to tons of J- and K- music for decades and I always dig the noble attempt to throw in some English. I can't say that it fails -all- of the time, but definitely when they go for longer stanzas, the way the lyricist breaks up the words is often odd and very unwieldy for an actual English speaker (Clazziquai is very guilty of this, but their songs are still sweet). That's what was so surprising about this track. There's maybe only one or two points where it gets a bit weird, but it's very minor and overall probably one of the very best I've seen if not the best ever.

Part of their training new generation of KPOP are globalize, that's why they are expected to be able to sing an English version of their songs. It is normal since KPOP groups do even release Japanese for the Japanese..
@@paul5475 That may be true, but a lot have a very noticeable accent. These girls did quite well and I didn't realize it was a kpop group at first from just listening to the song only.
@@Rezzmari I wonder about that too, I checked their info seems none of them grew up in the states/English speaking country or attended an international school but for some reason their accent is top notch, it sounds so natural, normally a lot of Korean speakers has a thicker accent when speaking English as you said.

-the harmony is just 😚👌
-melody has just enough variations to not make it sound boring but not too much to make it sound complicated
-a lot of words compressed in each stanza (idk but there’s this research about pop songs where the more words there are per stanza the catchier and more ‘addictive’ the song gets)
-all the singers are at least bilingual
-production value is excellent
Overall, this song is amazing. I’m not a K-pop fan, more into 60s classical British rock & contemporary American folk. But golly, this song is just beautiful.

I miss the still peaceful Fifty Fifty era. During Higher's debut era November 2022, I watched them on TV and RUclips, played all their songs, introduced them to my family, I put them on Instagram about the Cupid and Barbie Dream MVs 2023, some of my friends knew about them. I like Barbie Dream ^^ 2024 I'm currently studying and listening to their songs while doing assignments, when singing and listening I want to go back to the era where they were still active and there were no problems, I even thought they were gen 5 even though they were gen 4 because the concept was very new like western KPop, it's very beautiful, especially the buzzing sound like heaven, I really like it ^^
