In short, they are expatriates, foreigners that decided to make the Philippines their home. I feel your frustration for their denial. So if you do end up opting to be in a relationship with that guy you've become close with in the Philippines, then you might be able to travel there together some day!

Maybe you asked the wrong people how to travel to places like Boracay or Siargao where I believe you wouldn't mind getting stuck because it's ok to go there now as long as you have the swab test and confirmed hotel booking. Maybe Costa Rica is laxer in terms of pandemic protocols but I'm not sure of their covid cases. I wish you the best Pat, I hope to see you again thru your vlogs here in the Philippines.
Non residents are not allowed. I was denied entry and booking hotels because I’m on a tourist visa. I would love to be stuck in any of these places. Unfortunately a swab test and all the documents required were not enough. I cannot leave Manila because I’m on a tourist visa. It’s a shame, but I look forward to coming back in the future when I’m allowed in.
do ur research, with the new strain, countries are restricting entering, or maybe requiring additional documents. If you are willing to be stuck in ur next choice of country, then ok. just want you to keep in my of possible new restrictions, if you are stuck again in a different country. travel safe and wish u the best.

Central America, not South America. Costa Rica has low numbers and it’s very safe there right now. I wouldn’t be going there if I didn’t feel safe. Turkey has very high numbers right now so that’s part of the reason I didn’t choose to go to Turkey.
Had a very strong feeling your next vlog will be about your next adventure. You did mention that in one of your vlogs that your planning your next trip since you couldn’t really travel around the Philippines. So sorry about that. THE OTHER PLACE WAS PANAMA. I SPENT TIME THERE AND FELL IN LOVE WITH IT AND YES IT IS CLOSER TO THE U.S. AND FAMILY. AS OF NOW I DON'T HAVE ANY FAMILY LEFT SO I REALLY HAVE NO REASON TO EVER GO BACK TO THE U.S..

Central America, not South America. Costa Rica has low numbers and it’s very safe there right now. I wouldn’t be going there if I didn’t feel safe. Turkey has very high numbers right now so that’s part of the reason I didn’t choose to go to Turkey.

You did mention that in one of your vlogs that your planning your next trip since you couldn’t really travel around the Philippines. So sorry about that.
