@@tankeater I’m moving up and moving down implies you lose one draft pick and gain another one in a different location. If you’re just trading a player for a pick, there’s no move up or down. You just lose the pick.

Well, I think it's the fact that dude was almost perfect in college. 27-1 is hard to overlook. The fact that he should probably sit for a year should push him down the board, but you know the nfl by week 8 the fans will be begging to see jj on the field

or maybe it's that an offensive coach with a system predicated on timing and precision requires a QB who can actually read the middle of the field and can throw to a window instead of a guy who can't see the middle of the field and bypasses open reads underneath so he can scramble around and look for wide open players to throw to because he can't anticipate coverages then takes a bunch of unnecessary sacks because of it...... how do people *STILL* not realize that Russell Wilson seriously isn't good lol

Exactly. Penix will bust. Daniels will bust. Fingernail painter will bust.
The reality is that this is an almost certainty since wasting the first 4-5 seasons in the NFL stuck with a garbage franchise is a sure fire way to ruin a career, regardless of how "good" a QB may be. It's brutal, so many wasted players.
This is the reality for most years that only 1 or 2 of the top 5 QB's actually end up being good. There have been drafts where every QB was terrible and drafts were 4 of the QB's were good but those are rare outliers. So realistically out of the top 6 QB's in this years draft maybe only 2 of them are any good the rest will be busts.
Id guess theres only 1 good qb from this draft

I'm a big proponent of Penix being the sleeper of this draft, would love to watch him throw piss missiles to JJ and Addison!
JJ is a better overall prospect with more room to grow. He’ll fit in better there with his proclivity to throw over the middle of the field. Jayden’s mobility would be underutilized in Minnesota too.

I still have nightmares from when Kwesi Adofo-Mensah traded back with the Lions, gave them Jameson Williams and we got the super stud safety, Lewis Cine (HEAVY sarcasm of course). I think he has learned from that disaster though, just DO NOT trade in division!

Unless a top 10 pick just falls to the Cowboys they should absolutely trade down. We need help at a lot of positions and acquiring extra draft picks could be vital.

If you are a bad team with bad pieces….i wouldn’t be in a rush to take a QB in the first round if I’m not top 3. If these receivers and tackles fall because of these rash QB selections, it won’t be forgotten.
Williams and Penix are the best and most NFL ready QBs in this draft class.

If Harbaugh/Chargers trade their #5 overall to the Broncos or Raiders so they can draft JJ McCarthy then you will know what Harbaugh said about JJ 'best qb in Michigan history' was not true.
IF Denver wants a QB, they’ll have to trade up. Otherwise they’re going to be stuck with Penix or Nix, neither of which should be picked in the first round.

I think JJ McCarthy is not a top 20 prospect. With that being said, if Patriots want McCarthy and don’t want to draft him at 3, I love the idea of trading with the Vikings. Trade outside the top ten to get McCarthy at the right value.
Bo Nix and Michael Penix Jr are safer picks in the second. That still means they are competing for a starting job. I just don’t think either one is worthy of a first round pick.

Probably not. First 3 probably qb. Vikings take a qb somewhere 4-8 than I imagine the broncos and raiders trade down to the latter end of the first round to get the fifth year options on their qbs
