    I bought this bike after seeing this video and many others, (I'm 5'11")
    Whatever he said is perfect to the dot, everything including the jerk during transition, the mirror, the exhaust note making it feel like it's switched off but it's actually on, everything is perfectly explained..

      @@ermiasa9129 no jerks after using it for a very long time... In the very beginning, there are jerks, but you get used to the bike and they stop.
      It's not a big deal breaker..you just need to slowly release the clutch and not dump it.
      Once you get used to it, you can start dumping and rev match down shifting easily.

      1)One issue i noticed is the gap below the seat (between the chassis and the seat) becomes a bit much....

      Hi umesh.. If you ride in city traffic with pillion mostly ladies then while slow movement you will find pain in wrist mainly due to controlling speed as well as balance. But this is not only in this bike also in old fazer, this is normal in Yamaha. In highways there won't be any problem as speed will be more and friction between road and tyres will be less.

    The high beam thing is present in my fz25 too. Also the fuelling issue,that too is there in my fz25. I told the asc guys during every service that bike gives a jerk and kind of switches off when I lower accelerator but all they note down is to adjust idle rpm. That's it. Overall nice review. I personally feel the overall styling could have better. Specially after looking at hornet, i feel nobody can challenge Honda in looks department. Thankfully Yamaha is these days coming with smoother engines like Honda.

    Things that you forgot to mention:
    1. No Gear Position indicator
    2. No side stand indicator
    3. The "eco" mode is pretty much not functional
    4. The visibility of the lights is very poor; on country roads and on corners, you'll find a hard time riding this. And if its raining, trust me you better stop and wait till the rain is over, you won't see a damn thing.
    5. The rear wheel will lock under hard braking, so use it with quick downshifting to avoid accidents
    6. The lights will turn on when you turn the key and not when you turn on the kill switch;the latter is better to conserve battery life
    About the good things
    1. The horn is really good. Its really audible and loud. Gets the job done quick.

    MT-15 is overpriced and for those who don't want a committed riding position like the R15, FZ v3 makes a lot of sense. No, it cannot go really fast and don't have a 6th gear, it doesn't do numbers as good as the competition. Still, it is a Yamaha. Never had much trouble on one.

    • @AsilAdnan
      @AsilAdnan 5 лет назад +3

      @@sohamvanage8354 MT is a fun to ride motorcycle. But a funny motorcycle, considering you can buy R15 v3 with that same hole on your wallet. If you can adjust with the aggressive ergonomics, R15 is definitely the better choice not just because it has dual-channel ABS or full fairing or anything else, but because at least in my opinion, only R15 makes use of this amazing engine's full potential. MT accelerates real quick, and stops even quicker despite being the ABS is only for the front brake, it is fun in the city traffic, even more agile than the R15, but when an open road comes, wherever I have a safe opening for a 3 digit speed, I think I should have got the R15 instead.
      MT also has decent mileage figures and I haven't faced any sort of, not even minor issues up until now (10k KMs. ) So a choice between MT and FZ would be the question of, how enthusiastic are you about riding.
      For the fun riding experience and power of MT, you will have to trade - 45k? , 10-15 kmpl mileage, and a little bit more up-right comfortable ergonomics. But also, if you are an enthusiast, only the seating position should be your reason for dumping R15 and going for MT, would be my advice.

    • @sohamvanage8354
      @sohamvanage8354 5 лет назад +1

      @@AsilAdnan I am not interested in the position of R15 . And I am not a open road driver. I live in a city and I am looking for a bike with nice enjoyable city ride not three digit speed. I am greatful to u for this nice reply. Thank u. I think Mt is the one ?!! Right

Can this bike hold up? With me @ 82 kg and substantial baggage and extra rails etc?

    I have v2.0 and throttle issue is there. It's really irritating for pillion. You have to use clutch every time you roll on to the throttle. You get use to it but it gets annoying some times

      It's at 9:25 in the video. In lower gears when you roll off the throttle it gives you a jerk. Same thing happens when you roll on to throttle. You need to pull in the clutch when you roll off and slowly release as you roll on. This happens in lower gears 1,2,3 and at below 4.5-5k rpm.

    Yamaha officially announced that in 2020 they will unveil the same fz v3 with upgraded engine, should i wait or buy this one

    • @akshaysreelatha1369
      @akshaysreelatha1369 5 лет назад +1

      Wait for the BS6 version. It's less than an year for wait, for which you get better performance, better fuel efficiency (less wastage of fuel and emission norms) better safety features (mandatory) and probably this sexy look too. If you buy now, it won't be so bad, but if you plan to keep you bike for longer period of time, it won't be advisable. The BS4 norm vehicles can stay for 10-15years after 2020 (15yrs petrol and 10 years diesel) and getting an approval from RTO after that is doubtful. Yes, prices will hike due to better engine upgrades and safety features but petrol variants (thankfully bikes are petrol) won't be as affected as diesel vehicles. Hope your doubt was cleared with this 😇
