Hi yamaha lovers, My bike is BS4 fz v3(BS6 will be more refined) ..Bought in march 2019, Till now 27000kms i had driven. Unlike pulsar ns160 n etc which are aggressive in nature, but fz v3 is linear accelerating bike. This is an added advantage to get mileage. I'm maintaining my with regular Engine oil change for every 3000kms, chain cleaning n lubing, with proper maintenance you easily get 50 to 55kmpl at 75kmph(max economy speed) even with pillion or without both in city and highway.. after every service i would try to check mileage of my bike with 10ltrs tank to nill tank.. Well, I'm 25yrs old, so i ride little aggressive n with little care, so i maintain my speed between 60-75kmph everytime. Once to test my bike's i emptied entire Tank Nill along with fuel injectors until bike struggling to start. Well you don't believe the mileage i had got. So minimum 50+ and max 57kms you will get, but only if you maintain if your bike is under good condition Fz Bs4 Top speed is 123kmph(don't expect same 50+ mileage😛) Parts changed that i changed so far Front n rear Breakpads 2times Air filter once Just Clutch Steel plates(rs.120 apprx) Chain sprocket (complete ga poledu.. But i changed bcz i want my bike to be smooth) Clutch wire 2times Front absorbers Oil seals I use yamalube 10W40 in winters n rainy But in summer i choose motul 10w50 just to avoid engine over heating as our weather temperature touches 45°c (Telangana) Now my bike is as new as it was when i bought and even more powerful i feel😅. If we talk about Braking, you need not to doubt. Superb ABS braking n handling. In Hyd roads i use to drive at 60-75 kmph speed, that's the trust i have on myself n my bikes Braking performance A tip while buying chain sprocket kit.. I had purchased kit from showroom. But Chain that i got in the box was thin which is not just like Stock chain.. So before buying from Showroom spare parts, check outside shops who sell genuine yamaha spare parts, check whether stock chain or thin chain inside the box. Yeah they will open the seal(it was just a plaster).

Your review is good. My point is different. Is it fair - or legal that Agencies disable odo/speedometer allow bikes for testing? Someone is buying it thinking it is brand new. One of the things that decide the long term quality & smoothness of an engine usually is the initial 1000 - 2000 km of use when like a baby the engine is slowly adapting to real life situations. Showrooms should keep bikes for testing without removing odometer.
Showroom people are providing already booked vehicles or new bikes for test rides by disconnecting odometer....people rev that hard as it is a test drive....later those are sold to buyers as if they are brand new... instead showroom should keep a bike aside dedicated for test ride.... Almost every showroom is doing this and it is sad
I hv fzs 2012 model...yes faisal its true it is reliable a non nonsence motorcycle.... excellent for everyday use...big bike feel... No one ever tell it just a commuter bike....you can do long rides...you can do cornering....it clocked more thn 60k km...i love my fzs more thn my ns200

Riding FZ Version1 since many years!! No comparison with the quality and performance of Yamaha . Had a test ride for FZ version3 it’s by far one of the best bike in this segment . The confidence which u get while riding yamaha is not there in other brands .
No. It is the worst bike in segment. Worst suspension and even have tappet sound. I have completed 1000kms on my Fz V3.0. I will not suggest you to buy one.

FZ getting uglier year after year, now it freaking looks like some power ranger shit. The first generation FZ16 looked way bold and solid ..it used to ooze macho from every angle.

I have bought this bike and very much disappointed on its suspension. Very jerky ride. You will feel pain after using it for a short trip of 20 to 30kms. Never buy this if you care for your health.
I would doubt that V15 has "more" performance. The new power up version has same power and torque to the FZ but the FZ weigh 5kgs less. But i agree that buying a V15 and then putting slightly rear set pegs and dragbars with a round headlight would still cost less then the FZ and will look and feel better. The problem with bajaj bikes is that they put shit quality fluids in them. Change the fluids 3-4 times with service intervals and the bikes become rock solid with minimal vibes.
@@AakarshanB Indeed there are vibes in the V15 and also there are some heating issues. But both these problems have been eliminated since the first service has been done.
@@AutodrivenPriyanshu i would say not after the first service but after about 10-15k on the odo, it starts to feel better. I own one for commuting. Good bike, but needs a bit aftermarket work to be a great bike. Most of the problems are due to production cost cutting.

Older Yamaha's like FZ version 1 & R15 v1 were very durable. Current Yamaha bikes have poor quality for the price.

Never buy fz v3. I have bought one and now I regret. Worst suspension.
Hornet has comfort and milage. Pulsar is also a good option if you look into maintatnance cost also.
Apache is sporty.
