ポム vanished in 2017 but their little discography is one of my favorites in plunderphonics/vapor, they even have a holiday album I had the pleasure of buying on cassette to start my collection off
GRP64! They’re a friend of mine who has been doing some crazy stuff. Seems like they’re on a break right now but I’m super excited for their return next year.
I was searching my city on Bandcamp and selected the vaporwave tag to see if there was a local vaporwave scene and saw a record titled "hiding under the table" by an artist named picture a room Im confident in saying it's one of the most disturbing albums I've listened to with samples of tv broadcasts set apart in ways to tell a story I would genuinely recommend cause it is just up your alley
From Jonestown with Love by R E A L I T Y テレビ seems to fit the Pad vibe I also made an album entitled "fever dream" that uses soft tempo samples from the 70s to create a "vaporwave for Gen Xers" experience
I love bandcamp. It gives so many artists without a label a chance to show their projects in a site that has a beautiful UI design. Without it, i would never be able to discover all the hidden gems. Thanks for making these videos!!
a good friend of mine got into making distortion music and other weird stuff using like a bunch of samples mashed together then editing the shit outta them but he told me how he always hated his music and because he used like 70% samples in his music he never felt like it was truly his own and he kept taking down/deleting his stuff but after convincing him to upload his stuff to bandcamp recently he decided to make an album and put all of his tracks and whatever snippets he had left onto it for free and now he says he's finally comfortable with what he's got and can finally move on but for anyone who's curious he goes by the name “Jacob Danthony” :) edit: if you do decide to check out his music i recommend tracks #2, #4,#5 and #9 as they are my personal favourite:)
A few albums, although not technically within the vaporware realm, real good ambience and atmosphere to them Hewer Of Caves - Tabernacle Neverlur - Op under Fjeldet toner en Lur Offermose - Mørkt Forår Quest Master - Sword And Circuitry
Pad, the joy your videos have given me over the last few years has been absolutely immeasurable, you have no idea. The wonder and excitement with which you speak of music makes me feel like waking up on christmas day as a kid. every time I watch your videos i feel reinvigorated with the beauty of music and art. Thanks so much brother
thank you so much dude.. making these videos has been such a great outlet for me as well to just zone out and focus on lesser known sounds made by some great people around the internet. thank you for the support, kind words, and stopping by to watch them!
Great work Chad. Although I've made out there, ambient, surely, noise and plundertronics for years, I've never gotten Vapourwave, until now. The ghost suggestions were bang on. Thankyou. PS it's morning here, I'm taking an hour out with coffee to wake up. Life has been brutal lately and I've just listened to Patricia Wolf, currently listening to Haze, itwhat I've been dreaming of, gor dome time out listening. I can't see any let up in the stress for a long while, but you've helped me reconnect with music. I've watched your vids on and off over the years, stella work.
Pad’s channel is the reason why I was exposed to surreal/experimental/abstract music, there would’ve been no other way I was introduced to so many albums on RUclips and Bandcamp. The search for more still hasn’t stopped, these genres are usually very obscure. Which is part of the fun 😊
Slowerpace is one of those artists I can’t help but listen to each new release and be surprised by the consistency they put out as well as the multitude of sounds they create. Same goes for the artist Mael.
i love your similies and metaphors bro haha, they make this "mini review" bandcamp exploration format really nice! btw im stealing this idea and monetizing it all
You should make a video on academy by hallmark ‘87. Also, I found this signal wave artist called EtheReal media and they are sooo good. I highly recommend their music. The album R e n d e r e d M e m o r i e s is my personal favorite of theirs.
Would love to hear you talk about "Hank and Slim: The World Turned Gingham" it sounds like the country version of Current 93 and I think you'd really like it
A dive into SKINDANCE from Geometric Lullaby perhaps? Might have connections to Begotten.... Things about a cult, forbidden qr codes, undisclosed graveyards, and some fat slapping barber beats.
theres like this really fucked up artist i found named Kiasu+ on bandcamp, their last two albums "defect" and "cruel mechanism" fucking terrify me and not much at all is known about who they are or whats going on with them but lyrically its some really, really disturbing stuff. might be something to look into if you want something weird
hi! if you make another video essay, could you cover memo boy? it was a short lived music project that i could describe as a more mellow and lofi version of aphex twin. he’s getting more recognition from tiktok, but his music feels really unique.
What other albums artists or projects should I talk about in a future video for this series? let me know in the comments!

Skywaves One and Two by EtheReal Media™. Legit some of my favourite music.

Even if I don't end up liking Days of Blue (and I'm sure I will), that album art is so good that I might use it as a desktop wallpaper.
Right?! so pretty
Thank you 😊🖤
This should be a monthly series
its 2am, instant save to the watch later playlist
