ELISION Marshall McGuire performs Franco Donatoni - Marches (1979)

In the early 90's ELISION was heavily involved with and committed to performing Italian contemporary music, working extensively with the wonderful Milanese conductor and composer Sandro Gorli. Through Sandro we developed an introduction and connection to Franco and subsequently brought him to Australia where he heard the world premiere of "Refrain II" and Marshall McGuire give the most amazing and exhilarating performances of the beautifully intricate harp solo 'Marches'. It has been a delight to have had the opportunity to revisit this very special work and those artistic relations established in the formative years of the life of the ensemble.
