Hey Lauren tinsel is used mostly on real live trees, but it can be used on artificial trees too, just not very often seen. As a professional tree decorator, (as I decorate trees for businesses.) Sometimes for homes. Tinsel is put on 1 strand at a time. However that being said. You can put it on your tree however you want. Also just to let you know, as a cat lover myself, tinsel has caused many cats to get very sick and in some cases even death. They love to eat it. I have 3 ragdolls, a hairless and a domestic black cat and a poodle. Beautiful job as always. Love to watch you decorate your home. God bless.
Love the traditional trees and decor. Love how you have been changing up the house. A word on tinsel. Cats love tinsel and it can be so dangerous for them. When they eat it - it’s terrible. It can become entangled with their insides and cause blockages too.

My mother would have had a coronary watching you put on the tinsel! She would put it on one strand at a time and take it off that way too. She also saved it for the following year. Downside was this tinsel was made of lead and it changed color over the years. It would look dull. Can’t believe she had us kids put it on the tree too and you’d better put it on one strand at a time! 😮
I absolutely LOVE Tinsel! But.....I have cats. We can not put Tinsel on the tree because they want to eat it. So be very careful, because it can get intertwined and stuck in their little intestines and have to have surgery to remove😢. It's amazing how many Christmas trees you put up in your house, regardless of how much work it is to put up and hang so many Christmas decorations. Where do you get the energy and time as a mother of four children? But all the decorations of every season are always beautiful.

We used to put tinsel on our trees 1 piece at a time 😂. My father was very particular about tinsel and always taught us to put it on that way so it wouldn’t look messy, and it was always beautiful. It was a lot of work but paid off in the end.

Oh how beautiful can one place be. It’s just like the North Pole, I so badly want to see it for myself but will never in person. That’s how magical you’ve made it. I think a beautiful flowing red table cloth linen cascading to the floor would look so gorgeous in that corner, maybe a cookie decorating station for your kids and you to enjoy, but also just a simple luxury look like a hotel breakfast room or a for a time to sit down together to an indulgent dinner together. Maybe to a plain red linen, you could find one with or sew on a border of one of the gorgeous plaids you have throughout your living room. Ordinarily they can might look fussy, but Christmas is all about the details, and more is definitely more this time of year. 😊 merry Christmas to you 🎄

My mom always added tinsel to the tree so that when I moved out and had a home of my own I used tinsel the first year. Our golden retriever ate all of the tinsel across the bottom of the tree and needless to say that was a situation 😂

Growing up, my mom always made us put one single strand of tinsel on the tree! We got an extra long type that was longer than your traditional tinsel. And you don’t want to just throw it onto the tree, you let it hang off of the tips of your branches so it’s flowing or hanging down. I still use that method to this day! It looks so beautiful shining against the warm white lights on my tree and it dantily hangs ever so simple because there’s not a big wad of tinsel thrown onto the tree

I can’t believe tinsel has made a comeback. My parents used it all the time on their trees and I used to use it 40 years ago…now I do not like the way it looks at all…its funny you like it and are using it again.😂 I always say, you have to decorate the way you like. Always enjoy your videos.
I love the theme this year. Your home is so magical. With losses in our family this year, I will be doing the same theme. We need to bring in traditional and things from the past for our family to honor those we lost this year.

My 3 year old’s best tip is to put it all in one big gob of tinsel on the bottom center branch of the tree. Perfect!
