“Scaredy cats” it’s a phrase for a reason. I work at an animal shelter and there’s this cat that has been there for at least 6 months and no matter how much love we give him he hates people. Recently I was giving him pieces of chicken breast (throwing them towards him because he attacked be before and I wasn’t about to be attacked again) and he was warming up to me, unfortunately I sneezed/coughed very loud and he got so scared he became very angry and wouldn’t take any more food from me.
Another cat also got scared because the person cleaning sneezed, almost couldn’t clean his cage because he stood there like you just shot him.
I wasn’t a cat person until this job. They’re like toddlers but for 20yrs or more 💀
I love cats now and fully converted. I still want dogs but I will arrive at 7:30 to clean and one of the cats wants “uppies”and I’ll have to clean with one cat on my shoulder scratching the hell out of me while trying to not “offend” other cats by cleaning
