My buddy bought one of these (peddle commander brand) for his automatic Subaru Outback. Put it all the way up in race mode took it for an alignment forgot to tell the guy about it, and the dude launched it into the garage like a bat outta hell. Needless to say he missed the alignment ramps.

That would look SICK, there are plenty of options on eBay. I would say get a genuine one but those are very expensive and he’s still doing the civic on a budget
Have one on my 07 Sport Trac 4.6 3v V8 and it woke the beast up, made it feel like it gained power but I know it's just the delay of the throttle body being eliminated and the pedal opening more with less pedal input. I'd say it's a cool little device that makes your vehicle feel wayyyyy more zippy.
I've had the pedal commander and sprint booster and imo the sprint booster is better.
when you first started testing the spring booster there was a jetta beside you that looked like he was tryna race and shit lol.

I own sprint booster, and while there are no horsepower gains, the 0-60 is dramatically increased just because of how easy it is to get off the line. Not to mention, it completely changes the way that the car shifts.

Just wanted to clear out that this doesn't add power, doesn't make your car faster and actually doesn't increase throttle response like it says it does.
But, if you want a sensitive gas pedal, I guess it's a good product. I reallly wanted to say it because they advertise it as something that enhances the throttle response so you think it would make the delay between when you push the pedal and when the engine's accelerating smaller but no, it just tricks you into thinking your car is faster because you think you're putting a quarter of throttle and it's accelerating like if you were half throttle.
Only REAL good feature is valet mode and pedal lock. Pedal lock is so useful to warm your car up and stay inside your house without being worried about someone stealing your car.

I use the pedal commander on my car. It also has a negative throttle setting for super heavy traffic areas like dtLA, DMV, and NYC to save gas

Awesome. Just installed one on my 2004 mini cooper S and I had the exact same reaction as well lol.
That Sprint Booster basically eliminates the delay in response in a DBW (Drive By Wire) system. It DOES NOT add any horsepower/torque, but it DOES GREATLY IMPROVE the throttle response from your gas pedal.
I had one of the original units in my 2007 Honda Civic back in the day. It worked very well until I broke it.

It just changes ratio of how much gas pedal is pressed / how much is throttle body opened. The gas pedal is very simple and there is nothing to improve about response time, a lot of newer ECU lag (have higher response time) on purpose to increase MPG. To "property" get rid of the "lag" you should get it remapped

My car is an auto and it’s like that. All that happens past a certain point is that it shifts more aggressively. In sports shift it’s 100% throttle at about a third of the way in.

basically the same as putting in a bigger throttle body for cars that use a cable throttle, except its adjustable
