    The "look at you 621, you found a friend" line is so profound to me. The whole time Walter is seen doing deeds for some so-called "friend," only for you to later learn said friend does not exist. And it's just code for him to achieve things for his own agenda and vision.
    So when Walter says 621 found a friend, he's not just referring to Ayre if even at all. He's referring to the fact 621 found his independence. That he is free from corporations, handlers, etc, and can be his own being. He's basically telling 621 that he made it.

      I do also want to mention Walters frame & internals are far from bad. In a vacuum, NGI booster & generator are both among the best in the game. just a bit unwieldy due to how Coral generators work. And his legs, core, and head are all perfectly solid parts only outclassed by the absolute best.
      And altogether, his legs & Head make up for the core's subpar stability so his stability & defences are perfectly serviceable for his speed relative to other ACs in the story. Hal core in particular is excellent with NGI generator as they reduce EN downtimes significantly. His average lateral speed is on the slow side, but his vertical speed is solid and he has fantastic burst mobility between the booster's high assault boost speed and generators massive capacity. Compared to other ACs in the story he's got a super solid frame & internals, at least when fighting bosses and other ACs.

      One thing Im still confused about though, is how Walter got that AC. It seems like it, or at least sone parts of it, were made for him. I say this because of the "WLT" in their names.
      But Walter was sent to the Jupiter colonies as a child. How would he have been able to keep that AC around? Or perhaps it was kept on Rubicon and he simply remembered where to find it when he eventually returned.

    • @chewbacachunks8644
      @chewbacachunks8644 8 месяцев назад +7

      @@goosemanVEVO My understanding is that the reason he has the AC is that since Arquebus found the coral research lab after the ibis series fight. They came into possession of the AC that was most likely kept in storage there. Then since they captured Walter and "reeducated" him. They then forced him into the AC to do their dirty work because of his familiarity with coral. Now the reason why the parts of the AC have the WLT in the name. I think it is reasonable to assume that the AC may have been around for a while. Seeing as how Walter was very close to the primier researchers at the lab. It may not be too far off to suggest that whoever was responsible for building it named the parts after Walter. He was close to nagai, and Walter's father was a huge player at the institute after all. So yeah he didn't "keep" the AC. It isn't his AC. It was an institute prototype that Arquebus found at the institute and forced Walter to pilot. All of the parts reference the institute. IB obviously stands for Ibis, NGI seems like it stands for Nagai, and WLT is Walter.

    • @armoredcorelore
      @armoredcorelore  8 месяцев назад +3

      @@goosemanVEVO This a good question. And chewbacchunks does makes some very good answers. In truth the game never really states anything about this, it is very likely he was forced into the hal by arquebus.
      As for how he had it in the all mind ending. Well since 621 disappeared and was causing chaos it very possible the overseer group took the ac from the corporation as 621 and all mind was wreaking the corp.

    _meanwhile, in Why I Salty's series of AC6 voiceover videos this man sends 621 out to_
    1: Find out why kids love the taste of Cinnamon Toast Crunch
    2: Kill some racist ghosts rather than accept whatever hamfisted job offer they were planning on giving the good Handler and 621
    3: Destroy that _one_ McDonalds on Rubicon that never gets your orders (and by extension _his_ orders) right
    4: Work with Rusty, resident humongous Gundam nerd in this version of Rubicon
    5: Watch a movie so he can get some alone time with Carla
    and ultimately: Get jobs to pay him back for using his credit card to buy a coral-powered gynoid body for Ayre. Some jobs of which involve counter-sabotage missions performed on Handy Manny and Bob the Builder, each trying to outdo the other when building Rubicon new orphanages, each apparently unaware 621 has accepted coin from them both.
    it's all absurd and I'm still amused at the memories and whatever methods Salty used to get the voices right

  • @benjaminfinlay829
    @benjaminfinlay829 8 месяцев назад +20

    You say that it requires very careful energy management, but...
    See, that's the thing with the Coral generators.
    They work _very_ differently from (almost) all other Generators.
    Their recharge delay is quite long, and their recharge slow.
    But they've got very short post-depletion recovery, and _extremely_ high post-recovery charge; well more than half the bar in the AORTA, and almost the _entire_ bar in the case of the NGI-000.
    This puts you in the unusual situation where you _want_ to completely deplete your EN bar if you feel you need to recover quickly. You do need to manage the moment of vulnerability this entails, but the instant it's done, you're back up and running.
    This makes them brilliant for Tetrapod craft, since you can not only essentially ignore your EN bar, but actually _want_ it to entirely deplete.
    That said, they require a highly counterintuitive energy-management style that's _completely_ different to what the other Generators do, and for a lot of players this feels wrong.

      I wouldn't be too surprised if MIND GAMMA and SOL 644 were fighting simultaneously against Walter and Carla. Though, Iguazu could only control one at a time, so it might be a stretch. Perhaps ALLMIND controlled SOL 644 independently, relying on surprise and technological advantage to quickly kill either Carla or Walter before their superior skill poses a threat, with Iguazu handling the other in MIND GAMMA.

    The hal 826 when you use the shueld right and dance between weapon uses like you said, is however the single hardest hitting ac in the wntire game. You can do upwards 34,000ap damage in a single well timed 4 part combo with a kick into the rifle, kick, blade, charged shot, charge blade, kick and charge bomb simultaneously at the end. You can't build a single AC in the game that can survive that combo and if you get it off just right its impossible to escape due to readujusting manually with the kick. Also to get the charge blade off you have to manually offset yourself so the start of the blast from the blade is already on the slightly staggered ac so you have to break lock on.

He should be the type who take matter into his own hand considering how he want to be the one who initial the fire. The fact that he can take on 6 AI pilotted copies of the Vesper while not being in his prime kinda prove that even against the best like Rusty, he should be able to hold his own

    Replacing some of these Coral weapons with the Redshift one makes this craft a true foe to respect. And I wonder how this craft was supposed to prevent the Coral Collapse with it being influenced by the Coral, even though it was piloted by a human...?_?

    • @armoredcorelore

      As a guess here, i am thinking since most the other ibis weapons are controlled by coral that having a human inside this one means it can override that influence and with that perhaps move coral into contains to stop it gathering or allowing the coral to be burned as the ac flies through the moving coral.

    where we go with Rusty to fight the ships (we take the ones to the left and he the ones on the right) and on the return we get attacked by snail and walter and we 2v2
    But then we need to run to stop allmind but walter is still alive and we leave it with Rusty and at that point we fight the same boss of the true ending with Aery in the second phase BUT in the first phase we get help fron Chatty, in the end Carla got the backup for him and his decision is to help us bc the last wish of Carla is for him to decide for himself his life (he will die in the first phase)
    In the end we don't do the coral realease, we line up in the Liberator of Rubicon ending, we just stop Carla, Allmind and Snail
    In this route allmind will still tell us the plan of snail to capture us but he escape and still get Walter

    But something I really cant understand in the lore is, how the armored core games connect to eat other?And like in AC1 we had a timeline based on years, we still have this timeline?

      Well as you said we had the first ac time line named From 2 Great Wars from ac1 all the way to armored core 2 another age. This is the end of the first time line and a new one would be created using the same ED date system to cover AC3 till last raven named theFrom the Domination of AI.
      But AC3 is considered a reboot of the series so while they share the same year system name in thier timeline ED, there is no connections between the two.
      Armored core 4 till armored core verdict day is another new timeline with not links to the past two. However the time measurement in ac4 and for answer is done by calendar mouths while in AC5 and ACVD they are measured in era 's such as the old era, pollution era etc.
      And Ac6 is another brand new timeline as we know with an interview with the games director, who said the game is a new world with no links to previous titles.
      I hope this helps and happy to answer any questions.

      I mean Sulla says he thinks he did. "Was it 618 I killed last? He was good, but he had nothing on this one."
