Followed your suggestion. Listened/read the obituary poem. MacDonald, was a fellow we studied in some slight depth in HS . . . most largely forgotten in time since then. Looked up what Wiki had on him. Was a pleasure to get to know him all over again and realize how deeply he was involved in Creating , enlarging, developing and strengthening the country.
There's some 'Woke' text in paragraphs about residential schools and 250 bodies buried about (their claim). Needs editing by someone who knows how. . . and perhaps a pertinent quote by Kipling about the White Mans burdens . . . So relative today. Cheers.

Yes very true and relative to today, now that everyone seems to be turning their back on him and getting rid of his statues, etc., because of dubious claims. Most poignant for me are the last verses “Grant us a leader Lord…” We haven’t had a leader that could really fill his shoes since. Sad state of affairs, but perhaps this will be able to change in the future if we make the endeavour 🙏

What kind of person is Sir John A. Macdonald? I think it also appears on Canadian banknotes. Anyway, let me remember Sir John A. Macdonald.(존 A. 맥도날드 경은 어떠한 사람입니까? 캐나다 지폐에도 나오신것 같은데. 아무튼 존 A. 맥도날드 경을 기억하겠습니다. )

I think he was the greatest Canadian Prime Minister, but many don’t like him now. Opinion of him all changed very quickly which is hard to explain. They actually took him off the $10 bill about five years ago now and they have taken down his statues. So this video is meant to be sort of sad. I wish they didn’t do that so I made this video. Thank you for watching and commenting.

@@RedEnsign999 thank you. That I think and hope you are right. A lot of changes are happening to Canada and I hope we can stop them before they go too far. Given enough time and will, things will change. Thanks for the encouraging words. All the best to you and the Republic of Korea.
