The speaking in the first person was a Deion Sanders thing he used to do in interviews and obviously him and flair also would wear the cool experience clothes and brag about it and the style of promo the rock did was very flair-esque but then over time he made it his own a lot more as well.

The Rock of this era could be Jey Uso. In reality WWE is picking him to be HIM! So far he's lost a lot of matches solo wise. Most of his accolades or great matches were WITH his brother Jimmy as a tag team. Smh.
Undertaker of this era imo is Seth Rollins or Drew. They are equally as popular imo.
There isn't a DX of this generation AT ALL lol. Closest thing maybe Judgement Day but they havent done the crazy stuff that they have in the past. Doesn't even compare. The WWE plays like they want us to think so though. The LWO isnt as big as the NWO was. It's just not there. Writing isn't going to save this...there isn't enough talent to demand that type of writing style. That's how you will bring that kind of stuff back. Some have it..some dont. It isn't just enough to LOOK the part. If they let loose with Bron we can get some good stuff hopefully. You can't book that man wrong hes a perfect model for them to push to the max. Let him get the strap and take off.

The best wrestling writers can’t create characters anymore. Not even Russo. How can you. Sport has been around for decades. Everything has been done to death. There’s no more ideas. What’s the plans for these guys if Vince was writing: Gunther-bad ass Austria guy. Drew McIntyre-bad ass Scottish guy. Bron Breakker- 2nd generation Steiner bad ass guy???????
Characters can still be created because every person is different. The problem in modern wrestling is they don't write characters consistently. Someone can be a snarling monster one week and they're running scared from a babyface the next week. Most bookers don't know how to get out of that bubble.
Russo wrote differently. Heel Rock in this era wouldn't be booked to stand up to Undertaker and Kane like he was in 1998 that sparked his rise in popularity - instead he'd stand there with a dumb terrified look on his face or he'd run.

Vince being a hater of Paul Heyman as usual. Paul has been killing it on the acting front for months.
It feels like Punk is too fragile to believe in anything they build for him, because he might feel like frolicking into the crowd or shuts his hand in the car door, and then the next build up for a feud is reduced to call-ins from an uncleared Phil to just talk his way into zero action, just waiting. He doesnt need to work hard, just hurt.
I love Punk but for him to bash Nash for being old and frail, he certainly aint holding up any better. Getting hurt 4 times in a row over 4 years doesnt give me much hope I can invest in Punk when we cant even get anything going for him. But I do love to hear what he thinks. CM Flunk'd
