    Bro this tutorial was nice I also checked out your imdb and I’ve seen you’ve worked on some massive projects. How did you come about to be a part of these projects. Is it because you started working at scanline vfx and they are in charge of bigger films or what.

      @LoveVFX  6 месяцев назад

      Hi Marsel, I have been working in vfx for a long time now and yes, working at Scanline VFX allowed me to work on the biggest shows I have ever worked on. But to work in such a big studio (I think) you have to become an artist that can be of good help in such a big team. Even if you are one of many many artists you have to keep on learning (always) ask for feedback and work on youself, trying to improve your output in every way.

      It was a combination of over a decade of experience in compositing & vfx, luck (the right time), grit and a good connection to the right people.
      If you have enough experience and a good showreel you might get the opportunity sometime this year!
      When the feature film productions ramp up again, the big pool of good artists will be empty very fast.
      That will be the right time to apply for a job at a big vfx studio.

      @@LoveVFX That’s great to here! Im a sophomore in college and Im studying 3D animation and when I graduate I hope to make the transition from school to work as swiftly as possible. Most the knowledge I have on compositing I learned by myself online which is how I found your videos. I’m just curious to what the work environment is like as a compositor. Are you free to work on shots at your own pace from home? Is the salary you earn based on how many shots you complete or is it hours and how much typically do compositors and senior compositors like yourself even make? The potential in the industry sparks a a lot of interest and how much room there is to progress and grow and
      hit higher numbers.
