maybe because it’s technically a persona 5 collab and not a persona 5 royal collab? but i’m not entirely sure. The developers mentioned wanting to collaborate with persona 5 royal in the future, suggesting they aren’t currently.
@@FlowerTrick I think it's more of keeping 1 facial position/angle instead of having multiple. Keep in mind in Royal, there are multiple positions/angles facial portraits for 1 character. Mobile games tend to be fixed character portraits to 1 position in order to save memory space and hassle of drawing multiple angles of character portraits, due to it's live service nature of adding more characters/events. Though I agree they should use the updated Royal portraits, but stick to 1 position/angle.
@@vanessachowjiaying4423 Ah, I was implying that they aren’t using royal portraits because they aren’t using any royal content at all, but saving memory is likely a better explanation lol.
@@FlowerTrick considering Phantom X is a live service game which constantly adds new characters, I think it's better they stick to 1 angle/position for character portraits. Also developers confirmed that all P5 gen titles connect to P5X in terms of narratives and characters, so they will still add content of the said titles.
@@Eudaimonia7564of course it’s another universe. Each SMT game is basically a different universe. Like each persona ending good or bad is a separate universe. They mentioned it during public executions fusions

Got to admit, aside from the censorship it's not a good expansion of the Personaverse because it's too much pandering towards 5 (Again). I don't care if it's the typical Gacha multiverse part but they really could've done something different than revisiting old locations with the same old phantom thieves from the Vanilla game not even two years into the release.
This is just a collab event series with P5 and the whole point of it is to meet our familiar P5 gang again and revisit the old palaces P5X has its own complete storyline separated from the P5 world
I wonder why they're using the vanilla p5 character portrait instead of the royal version
think it's because it's not atlus who make the game but a chinese company that got the right for the IP with sega and atlus

I'll admit I commented a bit too early previously but after seeing the palace it was Egypt, I was just surprised to see Hindi billboards there
Brain hurting an little bit but not canon right, for this game?
I don’t think we really know just yet, but it’s safe to say this is an alternate universe.
And also the fact that Boss's Coffee shop doesn't exist in this game@@Eudaimonia7564

pretty sure it's in an alternative universe where the bad ending of P5 happened

but they are doing that. this is a side story
Later Persona 3 and 4 also appear as cameo later in future

I just hope that when the global version comes out, I can play this side quest. I love the Phantom Thieves (Futaba my beloved)
