    Hello again everyone, just wanted to point something out that wasnt present in this review. Essentially there is a 1 month manufacturing time from YEMA, as they receive quite a lot of orders i believe. So usual wait times are 1 month + 1 week or less shipping and it is done through DHL. The good part is, they use DHL express. The bad part is, it is not explicitly stated on there website that there is this wait period. Customer service is great as well, you can 24/7 chat with support.
    If possible guys, please subscribe if you do enjoy the content!

      Do they stamp the warranty on the date of ordered or the date they probably send it to you? Asking because I want to grab this as a wedding gift for my witness and having the warranty date exact would be amazing.

But to their credit they sorted it out super quickly at their cost. So can't complain too much. And reliability? I've not had it long so.........time will tell (excuse the pun.).

    I actually chose this over the Dan Henry Gran Turismo when I was looking for a mecha-quartz watch. The reason I chose this is due to the Heritage of the brand. The watch is well made. Do take note that the date has a slow date change, so at around 10pm the date would already start to move to the next date and complete it's transition at 12 midnight. It is inherent in all VK64 movement so that includes other microbrands using this movement. It sometimes gets irritating when at 1030pm to around 1130pm the date would be cut in half and look broken. Most of my watches (automatics and quartz even vintage once) have the quick date change so I was a bit concerned at the beginning but eventually got over my OCD on the date.

    • @sandsoftime3248
      @sandsoftime3248  4 года назад

      I'm glad you went for the Yema. Yes in regards to Vk64 and its small date change. I think its a bit of OCD :))). I definitely feel that way with mechanical watches, and some tiny dust particles on watches that appear as nicks on a sapphire crystal. But Dan Henry proves a solid offering as well, proper vintage inspired timepieces where you have options to have or remove the DATE window entirely, that is primarily something that attracted me. In this watch, i didnt really mind the date window since it was placed decently and didn't feel obtrusive, but if i had the change i would probably go Dateless since i admire the clean look. The Yema is a great but, and for the design cues offered you probably have one of the most unique offerings out there! Thanks for watching mate!

    • @cedricduyongco
      @cedricduyongco 4 года назад +1

      @@sandsoftime3248 For me the date window on the Yema Rallygraf works because it is truer to the original Rallye. I got the Brown Panda version since I actually wanted a Yema Rallye Brown Sugar.

    That's a very nice looking chronograph for sure. I was looking for a chronograph and pulled the trigger on the Bulova Surfboard in quartz. Had I seen this review beforehand I might have gone for this one although the crystal and no moving seconds hand are a bit of a minus.

      I have owned many seiko presage cocktail times throughout my collection journey. What we are comparing are some more casual formal dress watches with stunning dials to this chronograph here which is one of a kind with the vintage 60s racing appeal. The Yema is nothing to be scared of, relatively depending on which cocktail time you get, the Yema is priced around 440AUD. If you are looking into automatic watches as well, consider the seiko. I think the Seiko cocktail time is a much fulfilling purchase if you are somewhat new, you will be satisfied with seikos quality and be in shock with how good the dial is on any cocktail presage. Also I should put this up on some further information here, which i will address in comments. But Yema take 1 month in manufacturing the watch, then it is delivered by DHL express. So there is a wait time, they do not explicitly state this on there website.

    A watch is good not only for its appearance or history, now the most important thing is the service, and this company, I say this from my own experience, has a disastrous service

    • @sandsoftime3248
      @sandsoftime3248  3 года назад

      Many people on the forums in the past have said the same. This i exactly why i went for a mechquartz offering from yema and not there in house automatic movement. I have heard the automatics can come out with unregulated specs of +-30 seconds a day. In terms of customer service--It was fine, my only gripe, which i have stated was waiting 1 month for them to produce the watch before sending it. Hence they never stated that there was a production time interval. I was constantly in chat with online customer support--what was slightly misleading was the wait time as they kept saying--potentially next week. However the watch i got, was good-especially for the price i paid. The customer service was fine--my questions were never avoided and got solid quick replies. Do let me know what your experience was.

      @@dr.possible2399 I believe all the three watches in consideration have mineral crystals. The movement on the Orient may be more workhorse but i believe will not have the flyback function and hence a mechanical feel to it. If you are concerned about the crystal, that depends on how you wear the watch, if with some care, it shouldn't be a problem. Mineral will eventually scratch if you bump it etc, you would be looking at other microbrands which offer it at a slightly higher price point but you will miss out on the heritage the Yema offers. So far i have yet to scratch the Yema crystal.
