Yes, the center of Easton is a circle. Lovely market held there. My maternal grandparents lived in Easton, grandfather worked for the post office, and was working there when bombs went off in the building

...and my Great, Great, etc. Grandfather was Christian Laubach (Captain of the Saucon Rangers) who escorted Ben Franklin to build Fort Allen in Weissport across the Lehigh River from Lehighton, PA. The well of Fort Allen is still there.
My Greater Grandfather did patrols in thr mountains during the French and Indian War.

Cliff, The small old stone home you saw in Easton at 4th & Ferry Sts. was the home of George Taylor who was a surveyor and had interactions with George Washington. Washington may have been to that home.
    I am from Easton.

There's a quarry just north of Easton along the Delaware river where only one of two places in the world has Eastonite Mineral, the other place is China.

Also, the Declaration of Independence was read in Philadelphia July 4, 1776, in Trenton, N.J. shortly after, and in Easton on July 8. 1776. Only read in these three cities; although, I don't know when Easton officially became a "City?"

Thanks for the history lesson Cliff. The tribes kept their word far better then we did. We never should have promised not to settle beyond the Allegheny mountains. Back then the tribes thought that possible I guess. Too bad about the construction going on but the bigger picture of them restoring/rebuilding/improving a sight like that is a good/positive thing. We can always return next year or so.

hi yeh i researched alot about the European making treaties with native i think they broke nearly all I'm Irish but i feel ashamed it happened even to wildwest but i still love some westerns Bye

@@hiworldstephensonultranate290 That's another issue, Hollywood westerns depicting Indians riding around the outside of a circled wagon train getting picked off one by one. The Indians were not stupid and would have attacked head on at the weakest link in the circle.

Unfortunately , the old house that you pointed out Before getting into the center of easton belongs to frederick taylor, who was a signer of the declaration of independence. How do I know? I was raised in easton. And you missed The placards in the center of easton , one of which Showed the histories of general sullivan and sheraton who went into the Poconos mountains and the other went into Western pennsylvania to destroy the indians. The campaigns Both
    Began in Easton pennsylvania.

The other George Taylor house is located in Catasauqua, Pa.
But when I googled about the war in Lehigh County, all it said was it was the bloodiest part of the war, but did not mention the location. Wonder where that part was located.
    Great video again.
