The series was created by Macgregor and produced by BlackMilk Studio. The first six episodes were directed by Ruairi Robinson, Macgregor, Tyson Wade Johnston and Tim Hyten, written in collaboration with screenwriter Philip Gelatt.

Synopsis:
Those with means flee a climate-ravaged Earth, seeking refuge in the stars. Those without are left behind, holding onto hope.

mind blown short story with a strong message. I can feel the dire tension of holding on to a hope by being oblivious to reality
F*ck, so strong messages: Poverty, opportunities, hope, th system, believing to be selected, passing the way of the thinking to the next generation, and nothing changes. This, this 4 minutes, gave me goosebumps

A nice look at those on the short end of the stick in something like Interstellar. Not everyone gets out.
Well everyone gets out...but some on a path less traveled..... as for the little people like you or me "it can't be much longer now"💀
You say short end of the stick and I'd do almost anything to stay behind... A whole world to play with and experiment!
Bleak. Grim. Raw. Sad. Realistic. Absolutely heartbreaking and captivating. The last moments really hit me in a way I haven't felt in a long time.

Brilliant, "A Thousand Suns" is a outstanding mini series and I'm only at episode 3.

Watched three of these Thousand Suns episodes so far, and this hit hard. Only 3 minutes to tell a story, and it was told so effectively, and with such economy!
So powerful. This is the sort of feature length sci-fi we all deserve

I just binge watched the first three of these in the last fifteen minutes. These are genuinely good and have the feel of the early 1960 Outer Limits TV show. Excellent work from BlackMilk Studio!

Idk man, sometimes a place is shitty just because nobody will commit to it. We are seeing that happen a lot around the world right now. Sometimes we gotta commit and fix the place we are at instead of running away just to go break a new place.

This episode is fucking art. Art. When you have a such a powerful message such a powerful meaning the technological part even if it's great it doesn't matter so much. Even if it's not sci-fi thematic, matter the colors and forms and templates. The idea the truth is transcendental and you can see it and feel it. Awesome job.

Ok, that was pretty fing deep! Far more so than the other episodes.
Far and away the best film of the bunch.
It's interesting how so many kids will just inherit poverty or a complacent mindset from their parents all due to the fact that their parents lost their way or didn't try. We can't change the world but make an effort to change your current situation if you see fit to do so.

this is a very possible future. At that point in time there's nothing to be done. Currently there still is. But the capitalist system just keeps operating, and we , as its pawns, just roll with it. Is there a way to break this?
