This card shows you that you don't need 'characters' in the company to put on a good show. The show had some of the best displays of martial arts that I've seen, that ended amazingly with Glover finally winning the title. When I compare events like this to what Bellator puts on, it shows you just how bad Bellator's core rules are by not having 5-round fights. Michael Page's last fight was really, really bad, and I wonder what he would be like in the UFC. I hope he and Adesanya fight one day just to see who takes the Anderson Silva copycat crown.

*I feel so bad for Jan Blachowicz, such a nice champion.* Stylistically, Glover had an easy matchup; and he was the bigger man. Jan needed to throw more uppercuts (from the lead hand so he couldn’t get tagged by the left hook).
I don’t see anyone with a stylistically “good” matchup against Glover, except maybe Paul Craig. Jiri and Rakic are knocking on the door, but the ground game will determine the outcomes of those fights (unless Rakic or Jiri can land flying knees or KO Glover from distance).

Can we all talk about how UFC gave a Diaz a $75k bonus because they talked about fighters deserving more....and they instantly reverted back to the 50k bonuses....Is that really hurting the UFC to give an extra 25k for exciting fights?

The reason its getting kept at 50k is because Dana sorts out other good fights of the night without officially announcing it to at the press conferences. He's passing out 10k 15k ect to close competitors for the bonuses. Everyone loves to hate Dana but your all here everytime arn't you over and over again lol!

Seeing danas face when Diaz vs Khamzat came up, hes gonna do Nate really dirty before he leaves for free agency. I like nate tough as nails, but khamzat would brutally finish him and I don't want to see that.

@@kingindanorth0072 They won't give him a fight like conor before free agency, they'll give him a really hard fight where he will get dominated. If he turns down 3 fights they have reason to extend his contract, UFC has lots of ways to extend a fighters contract such as a long layoff due to injury.

What I dont understand is when Yan is in the high guard why isn't the taller fight in Sandhagen not using more teeps to the body and working the distance better. A 1-2 to the high guard to occupy him followed by a teep to the gut or chest was open.
