Great video David, very helpful. Just got my 2 M/E and in the process of transitioning from an Atem Extreme.
Great job David. Love the set up!
Thanks Keith o just need to learn how to use it all lol
Wish you explain how you deal with the delay. Thank you
I am a beginner. And I have a question if the SUPER SOURCE option is going on somewhere because it has disappeared. I saw that it was, but now it is not. There is also no image on the output. What may be the problem ?
would love to see how you have the loupedecks and streamdecks configured. i have a streamdeck xl, and plan on getting more, and have been thinking about loupedecks, but not sure how helpful they will be in my ecosystem.
They are great I’ll try to do a video once it’s all detup
@@DavidOastler I look forward to it.
Thanks for the video, especially for showing the options in Atem Software Control!
Looks like mix Minus only applies to ME1
I’m not sure about the mix minus but you maybe right
Please do all the things you mentioned in this other video. Those details would be very helpfull
Thanks Chris
Hello, thank you very much for such a good video. I have a doubt, when I connect my blackmagic camera to the atem constellation through the SDI cable, the OBS program does not detect it and it comes out black, I have tried with the 3g and 12g SDI cable and with neither it works. However, when I connect the same camera using an HDMI cable with an SDI adapter (which goes to the ATEM) it does recognize the camera and the image appears. I hope you can solve my doubt, thank you very much
I can’t really help as I do t use OBS or Blackmagic cameras.
@@DavidOastler Thank you anyway😊
Are you able to send an input to an output without it having be switched? The website states "independently route any SDI input to each SDI output". It isn't clear if that is just program, or taking a laptop input and then loop it to a screen via any output, while using also using it within the program, supersource, etc.
You can do it all in software
Hello! What is the best way run audio from a mixer (x32 compact) to the Atem 2 m/e? Do i need to run a 1/4 TS cable to each channel on the switcher?
Yes that is correct
Thanks for the video, great info in there. One thing I am finding hard to find is any info on latency. What sort of latency are you getting between camera input and program output?
I’ve got my atem latency set at 7
@@DavidOastler is that frames or ms?
It’s frames
thanks for the video. My question : have you managed to hook up easily your mac to the atem ? my atem (a TV studio HD) only accepts one of my four usb-c to HDMI adapters ! does it work flawlessly for you ?
Yes it’s great
Hi David, how do you have the Apple TV connected to the switcher since the Apple TV is HDMI and the switcher is SDI?
I use a Blackmagic hdmi to SDI converter
@@DavidOastler thank you, and how do you get the audio from the Apple TV into your sound system? Does that feed in through the SDI in the switcher?
I don’t use audio from it but yes it would
Is your hyper deck and ATEM on DHCP? Or maybe a mix of the 2? I have an atem extreme and 2 hyper decks. 1 of the older hyperdecks doesn’t like DHCP and I always have to assign it a new IP and enter it into the atem control software every time I reboot. It’s a bit annoying.
I think the answer to the problem is assigning static IPs and creating a VLAN on my network switch to isolate those devices and prevent random IPs being assigned every time I power up at a new venue. Just haven’t tried that yet.
No they are are both static
Hi David. Thanks for the review. It all seems to work as I expected. One thing I noticed is that I don't think you can route the multiview feeds to any of the outputs via the dropdown boxes. Can you confirm that is correct? One way that I think I may be able to get around that issue would be to take the multiview outputs as SDI, and feed them into the switcher on (say) Input 19 and 20, and then you can select any of the inputs (including the multi-views) to any of the outputs. In your experience, does that scenario work?
Yes you do have to feed it back in to work
