I'm so glad I wasn't the only one distracted by them LIPS. I agree with everything you said! As a romance/shojo lover, A Sign of Affection is a breath of fresh air! I too can't stand the "love at first sight" or "I literally just met them and they did one nice thing, I love them!" stuff that most anime has. I also really love that Itsuomi is just a genuinely nice guy unlike a lot of male romance protags who are quite frankly jerks but somehow still get the girl.
but... that's exactly what this anime is... ' I too can't stand the "love at first sight" or "I literally just met them and they did one nice thing, I love them!"' you just described this anime's plot to a T
@tellmewhenitsover no it's not. She's intrigued by him just like anyone would be by a handsome stranger who does a nice thing for them. She literally doesn't even know her feelings until a few episodes later when they've interacted way more together and she had a reason for her feelings to increase. I'm talking about "wow we've never spoken or hung out but you're so pretty, I love you!!" It's a relationship built out of mutual respect and actual attraction, not off assumptions of what the person is like because of their appearance or one good deed.
As someone who learnt sign language for a good semester, the attention to detail is incredible. Sign language heavily relies on non verbal cues (body language, mouthing, hand gestures). While the manga and anime uses Japanese SL, it’s still pretty accurate. Both versions are very on point to how I learnt SL. You can’t rely on a book, you need a tutor. Itsuomi is a rizz king, goddamn patient and kind. Yuki is so cute
If you love the anime, I highly recommend the manga. It's so so good, I read it all in one day, there's only like 40ish chapters out. The art style is so beautiful and the covers of the manga are so cute, easy 10/10.
Great video, this show is such a joy to watch! Although, I kinda want to fight you for implying that Fruits Basket is a reverse harem lol, it definitely is not 😅
Haha fair enough. The majority of the characters have their own love interests, so they're not interested in Tohru like that at all. Romantic Killer, My Next Life as a Villainess, and Kiss Him Not Me are some actual reverse harems, if you ever happen to be looking for clips again. :D@@wiibzreviews
@@strawberrysunshines8020 Well it's not only 2 people. Just like Ouran high school host club isn't only 2 people. The 2 people in both shows are the main love interests. The others are secondary.
DONT HATE ON ME! Imo, a sign of affection was a bit boring. Its not overrated, its not underrated, its just underwhelming. In the story, they say that theyre in college. But what does that have to do with the story? The anime also lacks a bit of conflict. What do I mean by this? The anime always makes itsoumi and Yuki show their positive side. Becsuse of this, watching an episode almost feels the same as any other. Honestly, Im more invested in the story of shin and emma, since they have more problems to fix, which leaves us with a cliff hanger. Because of this, we want to see the problems get fixed.
lol your good, but I would say the conflict is being def and navigating the world and love as a def person. There’s obviously insecurities there and the show reveals other aspects of life that you wouldn’t have thought about being challenge not being def

Some people subscribe to the nice guy finishes last a little to hard I think lol. BUT big lips always come first :)
@@wiibzreviews 🤣 Maybe it's just me but I MUCH prefer genuinely nice guys in anime. Can't stand the Black Prince and Wolf guy type Male Leads.

I really love that the lips and fingers are well drawn cause that’s where Yuki read and communicate with other people ❤

Omg I didn't realize there was so little chapters out lol. I might check out the manga but my read list is stupid long right now :(
it’s so short it’s still ongoing right? i loved the anime so much
@@sufurents Yes! The author was on hiatus for a little bit, but she’s already had a chapter come out in January and this month as well!
@sufurents thank god it’s still going on I need more 😭😂
@@wiibzreviews same i need a lot more !!
Bro you have more of a thing for lips than the kardashians
I mean Kim Ks got some nice lips too 👀😂
Them Lips though 😂 They had no business making them this salivation-worthy
I’m dead “salvation-worthy” 💀😂

It is a reverse harem, but it is one with lots of depth.
But only two people like her romantically. How is that a harem? It would be a pretty lame harem lol.@@DiamondsRexpensive

You convinced me to watch it

@wiibzreviews yeah, you have a good point. I guess my type of anime are conflict type animes like a silent voice.
lol yeah completely different vibes but I also often prefer those types too
Hello there. :D
Hi :)
You haven't watched "A Silent Voice"?
I love the love at first sight BECAUSE it wouldn't happen I RL, in fact you would probably get slapped hard so it's nice for it to be a thing in anime
have you watch Your Name or A Silent Voice? I want to know your thoughts. I love your anime reviews. And glad you love A Sign Of Affection. 🤍
I’m glad you like my videos so much :) and I have seen them and A Silent Voice is like top 10 best stories I have ever seen
