Ive said it before and ill say it again, every time someone gives a really high recommendation for a good and deep romance its almost always written by a woman. I legit think this needs to be recognized more.

I think it has to be taken into account that most romance authors are mainly women in the first place. Yes male authors will often incorporate some romance into their novels but these novels are almost never labeled as romance.
Kaguya sama author is a guy so yeah, don't shit feminism everywhere, it's very much needed but not here

This manga is peak! I read it a few months ago, they’re so cute! He was a soft boy who struggled with connecting because of his intimidating face. And she was a hardworking girl who helped him open up.
This dynamic reminded me of a romance anime but the genders were opposite I cant remember the name though!

Kaoru hana is my favorite romance manga currently even if it has Romeo and Juilet plot the author still is able to turn these overused tropes into something special and wholesome that just other mangas with the same trope could not easily accomplish and also Rintaro's relationship with his parents is one of the realist things i have seen in a manga in such a long time! This manga does everything right honestly!
Finally, this manga is getting more attention. Let's all hope for good anime adaptation.

Yes, finally, thank you for covering it! While at times their level of communication is unrealistically high for teenagers, overall it's SO wholesome and seeing them talk out their problems instead of assuming everything is definitely nice.

I think people fail to understand the importance of proper straightforward communication, especially teens when it comes to relationships of all sorts, and in this day and age.
It's not unrealistic to think that teenagers communicate this way irl, but what might be considered unrealistic is how accepting and truly kindhearted the characters are portrayed, something that's a lot more hard to find irl.
But the manga does show what's possible when you're sincere and straightforward around the right people. Good people are out there, ya just gotta look a lil harder sometimes.

I WAS HOPING THIS WAS THE MANGA. I read it a few weeks ago and i still love how realistic and relatable the characters are. they arent demonised for being wrong, they are just teenagers with differing povs and its just. the main couple is so cute too

The story is about a boy who is very quiet and kindful but people alway give to him a scary look just because of his appearance like a hooligan and a very cute girl with good personality.They gradually likes each other.Unfortunately,the conflict of 2 high school they are pursuing is a serious problem that prevent 2 of them having a romantic relationship...The story after that,like Kito-senpai said in the video.

i think the story and art is pretty but like... i wouldnt call it realistic? the main problem of the two school divide and the mc's self confidence problem is rly exaggerated in a way that is almost comical. the girl's interest in him and her apparent beauty and perfection is exaggerated, the resulting confidence boost is- well, i do understand the feel so not rly exaggerated ig lol. the main conflict reasoning is so overblown its kinda silly to me. but its just some feel good manga rly
Just literally one of the most unique stories in all webtoons and manga. Just so- real. It teaches what friendships should be like. It's so wholesome and honest. It shows us how being real with ourselves and everyone around us is so beautiful, it shows acceptance and appreciation of the tiniest tings in life. Pretty much what most of us lack today. How all of us have something about ourselves we just want to just make disappear. It shows us how just as simple as accepting it and moving on can help us accept the people around us as they are and see them if they are true or not.
These are just some of the simple life lessons you get from this. Believe me, if you're having a bad day, just pull out your phone and read this. You won't even know you'd be smiling

Finally,someone talking about this masterpiece I read a lot of romance but this one just hits hard the story , the art , the characters its just beautiful.This is in the league of other underrated manga like Blue Box and Akane Banashi . Its so raw,its real the parents,the incidents and the events.Never feels like its written out in a certain way.

yeah I read it before but way author tell the story doesn't come to my expectation. It pissed me off because every chapter there is at least one page she draw the character with a serious expression when nothing special happens. The drama is pretty stupid and nobody in real life would solve like that(why every character have to tell what they think immediately? Pull yourselves together! And why do you have to say "hey guy I have sth really important to say" and repeat it in next chapter). It's boring now, whenever a drama happen( idk if i could call it a drama), it always end with a "serious talk". No offense

Guess what i have been following this for almost ay year..... And my only gripewith the srory is that the characters apologize to other characters a lot. Like i am pretty sure that normal teens dont apologize this much in their friend groups
i agree with that as someone with our own tight group for years, we've probably yelled slurs at each other more than sorry's. But even then i can still feel how tight knit they are in their actions and demeanor. Best i can guess is how they're very less jackassing and more honest which causes them to be more sorry since even the most loudest and off the edge in our group is actually pretty forgiving in the inside.

It is ridiculously hard to find a manga romance where neither party is a tsundere and I got so tired of that trend a very long time ago. It was nice just seeing two awkward teenagers hang out.
I think this might be my favorite manga, all good and nothing disappointing, but the fact i shred a tear of how i can relate to the mc troubles is just amazing, 10/10 manga if u ask me

I’ve been following this one for a while and while it has a little bit of a rough start imo with the school rivalry it’s genuinely one of the most wholesome and satisfying experiences you can get from the genre. I don’t need any fast relationship progress for this one either because it’s like you say incredibly realistic and believable yet also brings forth so much character development in general for all of the cast that it’s almost unreal at the same time. Just find yourself one friend that is like these guys and you have won in life. Or better yet, BE one of these guys.
Not much anymore now and it’s got itself cemented a place in my top 10 manga.
Warning: excessive use of apologies like „I’m sorry“ „my bad“ or the like, so if you want to make a drinking game out of that: don’t, you will not survive. xD

Reading this manga I feel like the characters are my children, growing up learning from each other and being there when times are hard, they're too wholesome! Every chapter just makes you feel content and the art is super pretty, I'm suprised not a lot of people are talking about it.

I saw how highly rated the manga was on MAL, took a gamble and ordered all the physical manga from my local Kinokuniya. 100% worth it and a great representation of realistic and healthy relationships. Still waiting for that next physical volume! One of the best I've read in a while, alongside Sekken to Ase.

Oh my God. It's a healthy relationship! I haven't seen a healthy relationship in a romance manga since I don't even remember. It's a healthy relationship. Most of them are toxic. This is a revolutionary discovery for all romance manga fans. Most Romeo and Juliet I don't usually watch, but This has a healthy relationship i'm happy. For the main protagonists most of the mangas that I've read the relationship is either toxic or their relationship is based on Intimacy the only healthy relationship I've ever seen in an anime or manga is Card Captor Sakura and that's not even a romance, manga, or anime.
That's the healthiest relationship I can think of at the moment. I'm sure I've read a couple more or watched.

I had such high expectations for this but this manga it’s so cliche, the characters DOES NOT feel human and real, the main girl is so Mary sue and as also a girl who is also studying in a prestigious all girl’s high school in an East Asian society, people don’t act like that? I thought the setting would be relatable but everyone knows if you’re in a school like that you and everyone around you is too busy studying and struggling with ten thousand mental illnesses to care or even just hate another school. But fine, I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt, the ‘love at first sight’ shit is just so unbelievable, the main girl here is always so nice and compassionate without a single flaw, legit her flaw is just ‘on she’s too weak and airhead but in a cutesy way’ and ‘she cArEs tOo MuCh’ the main guy is just generic cool sad delinquent guy with dark past, legit can’t tell him apart from the silent voice mc, the ‘wow silver hair skinny pretty overprotective girl best friend’ is just so cliche. The dramatic ‘life changing’ scenes feels so forced, every simple thing can turn into a dramatic reading of and 8 year old’s diary about fRiEndsHip and LoVe, real life doesn’t work like that, just think about yourself, will hanging out with your friends on a beach turn into a sobbing proclamation of friendship, when people have these feelings they 90% of the time just hides it and keep it to themselves, these emotions comes out subtly not sudden bursts of energy, everyone is constantly on edge and walking on eggshells and thinking about feeelings, which does not happen you have other life things like STUDYING to worry about even when you’re in love, especially for a character who’s studying in a PRESTIGIOUS GIRL’S SCHOOL. If you want an actually good manga with good characterisation and character development, read skip and loafer. The characters here are even worse and hollow than the oshi no shit actually no I take that back nothing is as bad as oshi no shit, everyone in that fucking manga just have dementia and think they’re friggin batman in Gotham city
