I'm Dang Proud of Kevin and the crew. Clearly Norvell and staff watched your film breakdowns and took notes! At least that is what I am telling myself :)
I’m super excited about next season considering as you said in the video, most of our losses, or down moments came from lack of depth, which we’ve clearly fixed through the portal and bringing back key players. My only concern is that Jammie played such a key role in playing that hybrid safety position that his absence will result in a significant downgrade in secondary play despite guys like cypress coming in. I’m sure they’ll find a stud safety to replace him but I’m worried with how much he mattered to not just the defensive play but also communication
@@XsandNoles As I said before I think come Spring time they’ll get a good safety in the portal, but I don’t think he’ll have anywhere near the impact that Jammie had. But speaking of the nickel position, are you not high on greedy Vance? I understand the question mark with Knowles because he seemed to have a down year, but towards the end of the season, I felt like Vance played very well in the nickel position
@@pensacolapackbuster4514 Outside of Dent and Brown, we don't have a proven 3rd safety. I think Brown can develop into something similar to Jammie and honestly started to think he might be better than Dent at the end of last year. I think we are scratching the surface with Shyheim. But I think we end up maybe seeing if one of the backup CB can cross train to S.
Vance is hard. I think he played well and pff seems to back me up, but the staff and my coworkers at 247 don't seem to share that opinion. There's upgrades to be made but I think he might be the best option imo from who is returning.
This is a smart analysis that demonstrates the collective wisdom of the Norvell coaching staff and its ability to draw up schemes against opponents like LSU, Louisville and Florida. Bravo.
Bro plz start posting more ! I love the vids man. You on my favs on RUclips bc you love fsu like me and you know football. I know a lot but sometimes you teach me things fs. I watch all the other vids w you and the guys also. But these solo ones are also 🔥🔥. Keep doing your thing fam
Hopefully either the D line additions allow them to play 2 high safeties without getting pushed around even when one or two d limemen are hurt or hopefully the secondary can cover without always needing two safeties deep.
Nice overview. A lack of top end talent at a few positions, and lack of depth at others was exposed. What was most encouraging, was the team doesn't quit, they play hard in every game, and the staff is overall doing a good plus job.
i really like this whole crew but if you force me to piack.. kevin is my fave. love you vids, always learn a lot. keep em coming! thank you to everyone at X's and Noles
Great video! I'm pumped for next season. I think if the defense doesn't play well next year its a reflection on Fuller. It was kinda hard to tell this year since there were so many injuries and depth wasn't good. But dline should be legit one of the best in the country next year and cypress was a massive pickup that gives us a true number 1 corner. Who were your top 3 pickups of the of the offseason?
Great work yet again Kev. Love the video and will keep coming back for more content. You mention that Ward is great running counter, is there another back you see on the roster that is equally as good running counter? I do worry that without him some of our running game will suffer, simply because of his vision.
I think they hope hill or Campbell step up into that role. Toafili and Benson are both OZ guys imo. That's not to say they can't run both, just it isn't where they naturally excel.
Hey Kev I wanted to get your thoughts on our running back room. I understand that Benson ended up being our most productive running back but it seems to me that the departure of Ward leaves a serious role unfilled. Benson seemed to be really good at getting huge plays when the offensive line helped him out, but when they failed he seemed to be unable to make big plays. An example of this would Oklahoma where we routinely got beat in the trenches. It seemed that unlike Benson, Ward was much better at playing in spite of the Offensive Line. So, if we have a game next year where we’re being beat in the trenches, is Benson going to develop Ward’s patience and vision or is one of the running backs going to step up and take that role?
Yeah I think that's a physical difference instead of a mental difference. I think Benson is built as a low acceleration, high top speed guy where ward is the opposite. I think you'll see Hill or even Campbell kind of step into that role a bit. I think it's an area of concern, but one they can work around. You saw in the Clemson game they went under center as a way to get him going north/south against a better DL so they'll probably lean on that a bit more next year if I were to guess.
Great job! I think a lot of it has to do with the culture Norvell's brought in. Just think, when was the last we heard about a FSU player causing problems? Even in the glory days, we had some knuckleheads, but Norvell has really sought out players that are good people first. You can tell it's the players that are holding each other accountable out of love and respect and that has really accelerated the execution on the field. And I think you pointed out brilliantly that the execution (something Jimbo couldn't seem to stop complaining about 😂) was there, it just the lack of depth.
Haha I figured one season retrospective would do well. Plan on addressing broader topics (general defense, struggles vs bunch, etc) instead of focusing on individual games going forward. Probably would have been easier to split it up though haha
I'm ready to see what we will do great video Kev I'm ready for the next breakdown I think we win the games we lost I'm not sure we win the national championship but I think the ACC is within reach. I would love to be in the playoff, the first game of the season is going to be a big challenge if we win that game to start I don't see any other games we can't win even if we lose to UF or Clemson Miami is trash Pitt maybe tough and Wake will not beat us without there 7-year starter. I think we beat Clemson in Death Valley it's time. 1 to 3 losses same or better next year, what do you think?
"they were able to hit shots over the top to 6’7” receiver Johnny Wilson which was a luxury they really hadn’t had in years past." This was more in reference to the last couple of seasons where the offense struggled.
By finishing the season after the 3 straight losses with the worst teams in the country; Ga Tech, Boston College, LOUISIANA, Syracuse, Miami, and 6-6 UF and 6-6 Oklahoma missing half there starters and still barely and lucky to win.
Stop the cap!! 1) lost to all ranked teams. 2) only blew teams out that were already blown out by lesser opponents. 3) barely beat a .500 team in bowl game. 4) “One” of the more delusional fan bases in Florida 🤣 Honestly just think of how fsu would have looked against let’s say Alabama or Tennessee instead of and Nemic, Oklahoma
Blake nope not mad. Just remember all your hopes and dream lie in Travis. Who has definitely become a much better player over the years, however he gets hurt all your hopes end. Mad definitely not.
I absolutely love the shots taken at Miami. Keep it up lol
Thanks! Will do!

Yeah we knew the culture was changing the worry was always if he could win far enough and I think he proved he could this season
@@XsandNoles for sure, the culture had to change before we saw the change in the win column.

Why shorten it? Make it a series; the 4 quarters of the season. If for nothing else to fill the quota during the offseason. Good job
