I always carry 3 small tiffins- in one which veg/egg/chicken sandwich , in second 1 fruit with handful of nuts, third but not least roasted makhana (foxnuts) for hunger craving. But do remember packed them in good condition.

You can carry home cooked food. If you re packing it to consume inside the flight then pack it in your carry-on or else you can put it in your checked luggage. In either case, pack it in a way so that it does not spill. most preferably, airtight container (unbreakable).

If it's chargeable put it in your carry on, if it works solely on batteries, remove the batteries and put the device in your check-in
