darling louis. how I love your recordings. im now 77 and I played your Lps back in the seventies when I was a young 20 year old - but now so old with three grandchildren and widowed but living on my own but with adorable son and daughter living closeby - I play this and dance around my huge empty flat and feel 21 again - thanks gorgeous Louis. the neighbours look worried - pink floyd gilmour lives down the road = cant stand his music! - thank God for your music Louis! Playing it full on this afternoon on a cold grey afternoon - will be meeting tomorrow with all my relations - you keep me young!

When I was 20 years old growing up in Brooklyn, NY, they would remove all the planes from a hanger at the nearby military base, set up a stage and hold a dance where all the girls stood on one side of this massive arena and all the boys on the other side. The if you wanted to dance, you had to cross the empty space and suffer the public rejection,
Then Louis Prima and his band would file through the crowd playing a foxtrot or whatever. This is now a very fond memory - I was a good dancer - my mum taught me - so I usually - sooner or later - ended up with a partner. I'm now 82 years young. So thanks Louis.

This is what it is. Everyone has a different taste in everything.
I'm not one of those " I grew up in the wrong era" kinds of people. I'm just trying to reflect on a time where this music was popular, I gave my age to show people that there are youngsters still listening to old music.
