  • Doing some land based fishing up the North Coast of Sydney, Using soft plastics I land heaps of flathead and some good bream, Unfortunately the days I caught large amount of bigger flathead is when my go pro battery’s stopped working due to water damage, But I still manage a few clips and pics from my phone

Thats excellent footage you got with that 1st bream eating your lure. Not easily done. I notice your reel isnt filled properly with line and if you fill it up properly it will cast a fair bit further. Just a tip.

Which part of the entrance are you at

Nice. I know where that is but i have to admit to prawning there more than fishing there. I'm just starting this year on lures and intend on using some 8lb braid with 8-10lb leaders. Got any suggestions for line brands or if my line choice is wrong? cheers.

Hey mate, 8lb -10lb braid and fluro carbon leader are both perfect for estuary fishing, I myself use daiwa j braid and also Daiwa leader aswell. They are both smooth yet strong, and great for casting

Abdul rahman El falou Hey Abdul, The water at the entrance is very clear, so you need to fish light line. I would suggest 8lb or 10lb leader, with a 1/4 jighead - Any plastics will work here ! Pro lure curl tails, Squidgy wrigglers or anything with a paddle tail will catch you fish

@@abdulrahmanelfalou2657 Other lures work too. Try small metal blades.
