I wanted to inform you that the Motion Matching Male Locomotion Set animations have also appeared on the Unity Asset Store - assetstore.unity.com/packages/3d/animations/motion-matching-male-locomotion-set-254142
Hello, nice to meet you. In response to your question: Motion Matching Male Locomotion Set is a collection of animations based on "dance cards" used by Ubisoft, as discussed in the GDC video (ruclips.net/video/KSTn3ePDt50/видео.html). The documentation (www.notion.so/vanillaloop/3421cc1987e94eaca87505ec60b5e1a5?v=051932aebf7c4d01abf1a64f35520434) describes what each Dance Card looks like, which is essentially a single animation file containing a specific set of movements. This type of animation works well with the Motion Symphony plugin and reasonably well with Motion Matching, which is being developed by Epic and is currently in an experimental phase. So, it's hard to say it's perfect, as testing the plugin can be challenging when it's still in the experimental stage. ------- As for the Male Locomotion Set, it's simply a collection of short animation clips that you can use to create locomotion based on State Machines and Motion Matching. Since UE Motion Matching also supports this type of animation, and Motion Symphony also works with it, editing the animation data is more straightforward because they are short clips.
Hi, Thank you for your interest, this video showcases a pack of animations that includes non-strafe animations. In the future, we will try to add strafe animations as well. Best regards.
Hi, Thank you for your interest. The package contains only the animations required for the motion matching system. The system itself is not part of the package and is a separate product. The animations were tested on the Motion Symphony plugin available on the Unreal Marketplace. However, they should be useful for any system that supports motion matching. Please feel free to check out the documentation for a detailed list of animations and their descriptions - vanillaloop.notion.site/vanillaloop/Motion-Matching-Male-Locomotion-Set-3421cc1987e94eaca87505ec60b5e1a5 If I have any further questions, I would be happy to answer them. Best regards.
Hello, Currently, I cannot provide a clear answer to your question as the animations have not been tested on this system but due to the high interest in native motion matching built into UE5, we are starting work on a functional prototype with our animations. We will try to deliver a working version to you as soon as possible, along with documentation.
Greetings, We would like to inform you that we have recently uploaded a DEVLOG - ruclips.net/video/PT8ojWRg9fs/видео.html containing the outcomes of our initial tests with Unreal Engine 5 - Motion Matching, along with a tutorial that can be found in the DOCUMENTATION section - vanillaloop.notion.site/3421cc1987e94eaca87505ec60b5e1a5?v=051932aebf7c4d01abf1a64f35520434 We plan to share the results of future tests with you as well. Any strafe walking examples with motion matching?

This pack comes with what is shown in this video (animations and already implemented) or is it only framework?

I second this, not to put too much pressure. It’s just that eventually motion symphony will be outdated. Better to have it on native or not at all.
