I'd say your daily rate overall is a good estimate. Not everyone is going to have 8 beers a day for 2 weeks straight, nor daily ST, but the savings of not doing that could be spent on some better food, or other incidentals.

Hi Daz, you are spot on ! However, naturally everyone will have a slight variation in their balance sheet depending on their life style and their pockets. In my case, I am a light drinker and would prefer maily LTs for the company as well as traveling together to nearby resorts and islands to escape the overwhelming Pattaya's fever. In any case, thank you for setting a very realistic bench mark. 👍👍🌷

I have visited Pattaya so many times, through the High season, Mid Season and Low Season, the draw back to low season is that its so hot and humid you really need to be run into the AC anywhere you can find it, nearly impossible to eat outside unless you dont mind the extreme humidity, that said no tourist running around. Great video Daz.

Good video Daz! I love the Capatins Bar & Guest House is great. I had breakfast there everyday except one when I was in Pattaya. Aside from having good food at a reasonable price, they open at 7am. There seemed to be a few places that served an English or American breakfast, but don't open until 9am. In terms of lunch & dinner, walk down Soi Boomerang, follow it around to the left at the bottom, & on the right there is a great little food place where you can get a nice meal for 65, 70, 75 thb. The lady there is nice too, was up for a chat.

Good video. The cheapest place I ate breakfast was at Cheap Charlies on Soi Buakhao. The service was very fast too, but the breakfast was just good, not great. I went to Kung's on Soi Lengkee on another day and the prices were more expensive than Cheap Charlies, but the quality was much higher IMHO. Hunger Pangs had one of the most delicious hamburgers that I have ever eaten for a competitive price. KHAO SOI CHIANG MAI (near Soi lengkee next to Admire House hotel) has excellent northern Thailand food at cheap prices.

I spent the winter months for a few years in Pattaya far before the pandemic. I had a very cheap ventilator-room at Tony's Grand Lido Hotel on Third Road very close to the junction to South Pattaya Road. My room was on 5th floor with a city view and the price per month was only 4500 Baht (then about USD 140) + water + electric. The price included 2 x houekeeping per week, free cable TV, free internet, free use of the hotels swimming pool and free use of Tony's Gym close to the hotel. While I'm not a big drinker and work online 5 days a week, my total expenses per month never exceeded 30.000 Baht (then about USD 850)

Visited Pattaya/Jontiem for a few weeks there with about 3 days notice (as had to use up some holidays). Spent £380 on air travel return from the UK. Spent £140 on airport parking and £40 fuel for the car. Took £600 spending money and didn't need to take any more out of the bank, but then again I don't do gogo's or bar fines. So all in all about £1200 for the two weeks. If I was there for longer I would rent an Apt and save more cash.

I’ve just arrived home today from 13 nights in Pattaya and I spent a wee bit more than that😅, in total I spent £1875!😅 my hotel was £25 a night and I was averaging around 15 beers a day. I also bar fined just about every day ( LT 400b + 2000b) I also probably bought around 5 or 6 lady drinks a day, (could have saved some money there😂 ), and for food I spent around 300b a day, yes I could have done it cheaper but hay ho it was a holiday 😂🍺😎 but I think you are about spot on you could easily do it cheaper, few less beers a day and less lady drinks and of course go ST instead of LT😜.

Daz, very good.:) The breakfasts are the most amazing value. I don't do beer during lunch or arvo, esp. in the heat but everyone can adjust to their own habits. I am actually thinking of making an unexpected off season return, and I found flights out of Heathrow to BKK for £600 return. It is very competitive V a European holiday because the hotels and eating are so much cheaper. It is really about how much 'company' you want and how much sun. My own experience of being there in June is while not the wettest month, it is very cloudy.. but if you want a break and 'options' which are not always available in Spain... and don't expect all blue sky, now is a good time to go.

Imported spirits are more expensive, 120b a drink, local spirits like som song are very drinkable and can be as cheap as 50b,they serve Thai style, half a tumbler of spirits, 2 cubes of ice and and splash of coke, have a few of them and you will be well on the way

Your info is fine although each to their own,
The realism is what you make of your holiday.
If you want to have a good time that's okay, if you want to have a Great time especially around Buakow area you can spend a little extra.
Then a blast around walking street well be prepared for an expensive holiday.
Look mate 28 years has told me it's all up to you, but when you hit the ground anything and everything is possible, especially with gorgeous ladies around. 🍻 👏

Hi Daz, love the videos mate, any chance of you doing a review of the Soapy massage parlours, who is still in business, when are they open, what do they charge and when is the best time to go etc. a lot of the stuff on the internet is well out of date because of Covid, the war in ukraine and the food/fuel crisis in europe right now.

It's about right..I always budget 5000 BHT a day for trips but bring 10,000.justin case... Even if you said 80 a beer it's only a few BHT on the day..
The killer that nobody thinks about is the tirak costs when you LT them... That can add 1000s a day ...
Best to just ST them and max 2 drinks..
Walking st and any Gogo's will soon fleece you when the little cute sharks start tickling your fancy.. 😂😂

Apart from the beautiful women, what I love most about Pattaya is the food, not once did get sick, or have crook guts like do in Oz, everything I ate was top notch, clean (not processed) and well priced both western and thai food. And the banana frappas at the Copperspoon 10/10. Heading back mid 2024 for 2 mths, Counting the days.

Just had 2 friends come back from travelling threw asia for the last 2 months , they went to cambodia ,vietnam and Thailand- they finished in pattaya and couldn't wait to get there as this had been on there bucket list for a very long time but they said they wouldn't go back or recommend anyone to go there on holidays as it was crazy the price some ladys were asking and many wouldn't negotiate atal! One of them was quoted on soi 6 at 12 o clock at night 2500 for st and 4500 for lt even though the bar closed at 1 o clock ! They said they tried to negotiate but the girl simply said if you dont want to pay go somewhere else 😂 , I think this attitude by ladys and these prices are gonna be the downfall of pattaya as I have seen a lot of people commenting on other videos saying how there not interested in going back due to similar situations.
They said a lot of bars they visited had the same attitude and even though it was quiet they wernt made feel welcome atal , not every bar they said was like this as some were very good but they said they would recommend Vietnam for a better service all round

unfortunately your friends had a bad experience and their lack of Pattaya knowledge let them down (no offence intended at all) personally i would never go to soi 6 late at night and there are so many options that would have been far better, places like soi pothole or LK metro would have been 100% more fun and the gentleman's clubs on soi boomerang would have given them an unforgettable experience for no more than the price of a few beers
