i love the way u can just try out the different classes basically for free. swapping the class engravings, trying out new skills, getting to know your class. It makes the way to high endgame or T4 just so much more comfy
The added change to include bounded gold is so goated. I struggled to hone my gear with the reduced gold you get from solo raid. Also I only play one character which limits the gold I can acquire.
they should do it to be able to play "solo raid" with more people to help a friend for example or new players- and i dont like this bound gold- you cant buy anything with it only for honing is just lame- make it at least to able to exchange for blue crystals for pheons or the aura- this was reason to came back to this game because everyone knows how bad the gatekeeping is and the fomo and the stress- people will say they done it because of bots rly now
Don't feel this is enough. There's still a lot of core issues which prevent people coming in. 1) Solo raids don't go up to the latest tier of raids - this is self explanatory. 2) Having to do solo raids in an mmo because the entry requirements set by the community are far too high and raids are far too punishing for your average person, even on normal. Normal should be LFR difficulty. 3) Meta builds dominating by millions of differences in DPS compared to off meta and no space for personal playstyle when building a class. A meta build is not only the only viable way but it does not encourage creativity and theory crafting for the more creative players. 4) Elixirs, transendence, advance honing all suck. Stop adding additional vertical systems with each raid. 5) Alt centric system needs to be reworked. There should be no benefit to people who want to play alts. People who put in the same amount of time on a single character should be rewarded in an equal manner. 6) Playing support is boring and needs to be reworked to be more fun and in line with the action gameplay. Why aren't supports rewarded in seeing their character growth? It's annoying to see them be so broken and vital for each raid yet their efforts are not rewarded appropriately. The damage numbers suck therefore there is no monkey brain neuron activation ongoing. This is why there's barely any at endgame. 7) There neds to be an alternative to raiding for progression. 8) Genderlock...Just hurry up with the class counterparts, many casuals/ ammo andies are going to look at genderlock and walk away. 9) On the topic of classes, why is the balancing so bad? I'm not just talking poor balancing but the gigantic gap in performance in comparison. Why are classes like Souleater and Deathblade always getting away scot free but classes like Zerker and Sharpshooter shafted? 10) Older classes need to be reworked visually and mechanically, classes like sharpshooter are boring to look at and play. 11) Ark passives were supposed to change gameplay styles, yet only a select few classes got big changes. Paladins can play as DPS, however Zerkers get double red dust and slayer gets that awkward crap as well? I wish they were more creative, they could've turned devil hunter into a DMC sword and gun class, gave sharpshooter an identity where he temporarily goes into double dagger mode for that rogue archer/ thief hybrid feel yet they just basically made all classes deal more damage bottom line. 12) Devs not taking into account their failure in the west and implemented better basic changes like less homework. 13) Toxic community brought by the toxic systems and gatekeeping measures SMG put in. You need to clear your 18 raids ASAP but a single person's mistake sets you back which breeds toxiticty and exclusivity. No one wants to play with new players and new players want an easier time. A conflict of interest which leads to an MMO's most important statistic (number of people playing actively) to drop off. 14) Swapping mains is a nightmare. Yes engraving support made it easier but that will be gone in T4 and also you got to account for gear, accessories, Ark passive, Tripods, Stone..the lot. I could go on and on but basically Lost Ark has a lot to improve on and it desperately needs it. Solo raids only yielded a little less than 1000 Consecutive and monthly players. I do feel the game has insane potential but all of it's downfalls don't come from AGS but from it's extremely greedy creators in Smilegate. They created the best combat in an mmo but surrounded it with mundane chores + all the other bits I listed which kill the enjoyment. Unfortunately I don't see improvements coming quick enough to heal the playerbase as Smilegate has a track record at being incompetent and selfish. I do have a feeling that the next great MMO whenever or whatever it is will kill off lost ark permanently until rapid and effective changes are made.

solo raids are pog addition but gl trying to dive into mm after that. No los30? No lvl 10 gems? No 40 set elixirs? No lvl 7 transcendence? Have fun trying to get into any lobbies xD But for casual players its pog cuz they can try raids and shit
For clarification the back attack buff for solo mode only affects the base positional buff (some additional dmg and 5% bonus crit rate) so you must still hit the back to get benefits from entropy set + ambush master which basically means it's kinda useless
I haven't used solo raids much because of the gold difference, but it's been a great unjailable way to get elixirs for my non-gold earning aero I boosted with the event.
Exactly what i'm sating , solo raids , specially last onse ain't easy at all !! Very nice balanced , maybe even a little too hard for new players .but if they can beat it , they totally will be ready for real raids.
BACK AGAIN WITH THE CONTENT i agree solo raids is the best thing to have happened to this game, that plus perma engraving supp, free 7gems, and bound gold is going to make this game actually playable for newbies. i also agree they hit the nail on the head with the difficulty - not gonna be a walk in the park for newbies, but definitely clearable at ilvl. Ive been trying solo raids on an alt roster at ilvl with DD18 and no gems and have found certain raids to come down to the wire (clown g1 and g2 surprisingly), but most have been sufficiently clearable.
Support player (Bard and Paladin) newly returning to the game looking to do solo raids... Am I able to use my support sets/builds to clear the solo raids? Or will I need to farm a new set of gear/tripods/accessories/engravings/etc. in order to do this content?
Sadly, you need a DPS build for solo raid (and have 2-3 brand skills for the buff) You might only need some tripods for the DPS skill and any Swift Crit necklace since you can use Engraving Support System to pick any engraving you like for DPS build any way. Also gear sets can be changed for sometimes already so just use Nightmare or Hallucination 😊
Potential...but squandered. Too many korean players, whales, streamers, etc dont want players to have a viable endgame solo option since they wanted ppl to play with or bus. Players should have the freedom to either go for group content, or just solo for less gold. Additionally, normal mode should basically be solo raid mechs with no real wipes with hard mode being the real difficulty with proper rewards. Without later solo raids, new players have no chance of getting into parties due to cards, roster level, etc.

LA is still worst, even if you manage to get 1600+ youll still be blocked reasons (LoS, KLC, level 10 gems, higher grade equipments, high rooster level high character level of demands etc) youll still get stucked at solo even if you get 1600+ and now that UNA's gold is also locked to bound which was the worst decision ever made in history of LA you won't even get to buy level 10 gems. So good luck if you got only 1 character

I do a few solo raids for fun every week on non gold earners. Very relaxing and fun to do.

It’s silly to have back attackers not back attacking anyways. This is probably better overall for the community.
hey, a bit of correction its 5% damage and 10% crit rate for skills with back attack affix, and for front attack its 10% damage and 20% stagger iirc
