I love them with a smear of a horseradish mayo spread on to the bread and then broiled until crispy and then smear another coating of it before adding the filling. A French Dip or Reuben sandwich done well is something that never ceases to be enjoyable and oddly memorable.
That in spain we call it "brascada" sandwich (bocadillo brascada), one of my favourite together with the "chivito" (egg breast, fried egg with liquid yolk not overcooked, lettuce, mayo)
Whenever I see a French dip on the menu I have to try it. Sadly, not many restaurants are great at making them however…when you find a place that knows their shit it’s a treat
I bought one of these from my local deli last week and oh. my. gosh. I have not stopped thinking of it since. SO SIMPLE YET SO INCREDIBLE. I don't think I've ever had a true french dip and I'm 31. I would eat this every day but as I said, I'm 31
When I was like 10 I'd get the french dip at every restaurant we went to that had them. I haven't had one in probably 6 or so years, this makes me want one.
It's so true....this sandwich DOESN'T get enough credit!! My husband LOVES it when I make this. When i have my in laws and all the nieces and nephews over I will use a crockpot for the au jus and have that baby slowly cook with onions in it and my god the family ALWAYS destroys it!! I always get asked to make this beauty! Delicious!! Oh and a small tip I put swiss cheese on top of the meat with of course the bread and put that baby in the broiler to get that bread toasty and the cheese perfectly melted, then serve with au jus on side in bowl for dipping .Yum yum!! My favorite part is when the au jus soaks into bread and makes it soggy...u think u dnt like a soggy sandwich until u try this baby.
Love your style of cooking , think you can label over the screen what n how ingredients you're adding on your dishes as you are cooking it and what is that stove called or that counter time you're cooking on
Looks really good, unlike most I've had the Angus came out looking tender and juicy. Though I can't do onions and bell peppers French Dip and Philly Cheesesteak are two of my favorite sandwiches and very few people seem to be able to make them without them coming out super dry and near rock hard bread. Well done.
The king? It definitely doesn't get enough credit... but the king? I have never seen a French dip collecting taxes or leading his other sandwiches anywhere.
Cheers for more killer content. The best sandwich indeed....off topic I used to get hell from my cooks for saving different fats for use in roux for what ever soup/sauce that protein played a part in. Never thought to use for seasoning the grill!
I'm from Philly and have had French Dips before...although obviously biased, I'll take a cheesesteak with onions and peppers any day of the week....over an FD.
I do prepare something like this !! Or maybe not and is something else (is a meat sandwich for sure 😂) but with inexpensive roast meat lol. 15 dollar roast slow cook with chicken broth and beef broth homemade, beer, herbs sauté onions and garlic . It taste very good, and I made a Mayo/sour cream, horseradish mustard and few herbs mix, plus Italian cheeses ! Is my mother recipe. Excuse my poor English!
That’s the clearest, most clean grill I’ve ever seen
Became a dishwasher you will learn the secret to cleaning it spotless in mins and eating breakfast getting ready for lunch service .
It's a chrome grill mate if you want to find out more about them. Not all restaurants can afford one - pretty pricey.
Holy shite....you can see all the way into next year in that shiny grille!!!
The hallmarks of a truly great restaurant, and head chef. If the kitchen is spotless, that’s the place to go to. Most likely will be expensive tho 😅
The secret is to finish off the clean with newspaper. It polished up perfectly without any hint of grease or smears.
finally he cooked something for himself
Nice to see someone NOT using £200 cuts of steak for once
True.
This channel deserves sm more subs and attention literally been binging all of your content man keep it up too good!

He’ll get there.
Idk what mine is but it looks like it tastes better. Mmm gravy
As soon as he starts dropping recipes I'll give a fuck
I don't like the way that piece of me fell out the sandwich I think I'm going to be scarred for life
So this is what my head chef cousin meant by "I want to see my reflection on it".
That griddle top is the most immaculate I’ve ever seen. Not even the finest Teppanyaki spot in Japan touches that.
Wrong...ive worked teppanyaki and they are same as that
@@surfinmuso37 I obviously don’t know every griddle on earth. 😂 But that is one of cleanest I’ve seen on the Tube. 😎 thanks for the reply!
I’ve never seen a mirror grill

Well you can add a lot of onions but now you’re going from French dip au juice Too French onion soup...
Still seems like not enough onions if you ask me
Hon hon hon l'oignon

Whenever I see a French dip on the menu I have to try it. Sadly, not many restaurants are great at making them however…when you find a place that knows their shit it’s a treat

@@andy_cooks was it brand new for the video or do you really clean it that well? I'm impressed by how shiny it is.

Only place I found a good French dip sandwich was in Reno
French Dip is my jam. I've had great ones from $10-$25 a pop.
The king? It definitely doesn't get enough credit... but the king? I have never seen a French dip collecting taxes or leading his other sandwiches anywhere.
