I really like your videos and really appreciate all the information that you're handing out. I've been working on building a sealcoating company out here in Illinois myself for about a year-and-a-half and I'm really hoping to hit it hard this upcoming summer of 2019 in every Speck of information I can get really increases my odds of success. I really appreciate it
No you don't. It's hot and messy. We use hot mix when we seal coat our roads and that hose gets really hot. The oil is 165 degrees in the tank. We don't use the hose very often on the roads fortunately.
The hose is going to drag, impossible not to. The point of the hose man is to take the pressure off the hose so the operator doesn't have to pull the hose around. The hoseman also is responsible for keeping it from catching on things like curbs. Next time you wash your car have someone carry the hose for you and see how much easier it is.
If you're brushing 2 coats you are using way too much. At most you should brush the first coat and spray the second. No point in doing a thick coat on this parking lot, because this lot needs to be repaved. I take it you've never done this if you think that though.
Lol ain't no one squeegeeing a huge parking lot bud ....and try to bid a job as such and the guy spraying will win the bid everytime...now on a residential drive that's a different story
Did you really put those parking stoppers on a crack and seal around it? You seem to be doing shady work in every video. I guess ruining your own seal is a good way to keep them as a customer.
I’ve been in this business for a long time and I’m not to proud to say I learned something new from this guy.
Nothing to be ashamed of. Always be learning!
Excellent work. I love the intensity and dedication...
Nothing says professionalism like showing up in basketball shorts and gym shoes
Thanks for the knowledge shared it has helped our company tremendously.
Cant believe they poured a bit of hot melt in then painted it like thats going to last long, what a bodge job

You're like a "9" on the tension scale Rube.
Bueno pero no te enojessssss
Yikes that after part looks like you only filled the cracks not sealed it. Why spray seal that thin coat? You may as well have not done it at all.
Dave do you prefer coal tar or asphalt Emulsion sealer and why?
I want to be a hose man,it looks like a very important job ;-)

Why is that guy spraying his boots with sealer on purpose?
Good video. I love the rant that begins around 2:15.
finally a before and after lol
Love it
Your hose man was dragging the hose LMAO 😂.

*ashphalt*
He was pretending to spray but he was actually the hose man
How much u charge for that
Ya weed wip
They make better hand carts to move parking blocks. Or forks on a skid steer work well depending on the size of the job. nice work though.
How much should a contractor charge for square footage when seal coating asphalt? Anyone knows
get your men, some steel toe work boots if they are going to be picking up parking car stops like that.
ey dave wer u been
You one of them fly by night Gypsy’s
What is a weed whip??? Dude get a grazer with a wire wheel on it you probably don't have one but I do you'll be glad you got it
Dave Strand - the guy to drive a red truck.
Don’t look like 2 coats just saying
You probably dont have a leaf blower but your breath will do just fine???🤣💀
why parkink lot without parking cars?
Cause ummmmm he seal coatin it?!?! Maby I don’t nooo ummmm yes that’s why 😂
I don't know how you're spraying with that broken ass air pump
To control the hose we use 💪
A&R Sealcoating, knocking out crackfill, asphalt and sealcoat for 34yrs
I would have brushed 2 heavy coats. Mine would have been better. No way he sprayed 2 coats, blotchy

No one wants it sprayed looks like shit doesn’t fill in good gotta brush it I’ve done it a long time and everyone wants it brushed
Squeegeed?
Lol ain't no one squeegeeing a huge parking lot bud ....and try to bid a job as such and the guy spraying will win the bid everytime...now on a residential drive that's a different story
You probably dont have 70 years old gay helping you doind your job, as i do, but any residentual pensioner will be just fine.
has that pensioner to be gay?
@@klaasj7808 probably has to ... working with "tubes" is mandatory in this business
Why you yelling
^^8 people got caught dragging the hose
The hose man is to keep the spray man from tripping on the hose... Not so you get to be lazy and shoot your over-spray on your worker.
Your name is very fitting for this comment
Damn, you mad bro?
did grandpa not get his pills??
Better then u
because the price of sealcoat hasnt gone up in 20 years. so we cant afford to hire an extra guy for the hose
Not much detail useless !
Luis diaz ehh then don’t watch it lmao the title wasn’t even “HOW TO”

That aggressive attitude and yelling is annoying.
